Absolutely...first half was a bit tense, 2nd half we just dominated...never looked in doubt.

Bosa was a beast all game...that moment was unreal...hard to get a whole stadium shout a players name! He's a player that had social media/injury issues before the draft...he'd definitely a fan favourite there now....every other jersey is a 97! Watching him warm-up was something else...his legs are like tree trunks, but he moves so quickly.
From my seat I had a great views of the Sherman Int, muffed punt & a couple of TD's. Definitely worth the long (short) trip! Jerry Rice was right in front for the whole game too...he had the whole section shouting JERRY for about half the game!! You know he'd love to play too...that was my third game, and third time to see Jerry there & each time, he goes out for 2/3 catches in warm-up!!

Been waiting a long time for this! Anyone remember the 2016 season under Chip...2-14. Can't help but think the team needed the Tomsula/Kelly years to get Jed York to realise he needed to do something. ps: Mostert joined the team under Kelly!!
It's rare to see a team get to the Superbowl because of the team as a whole. Not one bad person on this team with issues...no individuals wanting glory. It's all about the common good.
Have to say it would be great to see Jimmy put up some numbers in Miami...seeing as it was against the Chiefs where he tore the ACL!

Good article on after the game. Between this and seeing his post game interview I'm absolutely gutted for Staley. Despite all the injuries this year hopefully he sticks it out for another year, it would be a huge hole to fill on the field and locker room if he retires.

Bourne and Breida given 2nd round tenders so 1 year deals at $3.25m each. If someone wants to offer them money I'd say we'll happily take their 2nd.

Looks like they're going to basically keep the whole team together minus Sanders and Buckner. Potential for a few further trades or cuts also.

Starting to feel more and more that they'll end up going for an OT or DT at 13 or trade back. Other potential is one of the top 2 CBs, in the unlikely situation that they fall.

Signs seem to point to an early rush for the top 3 WRs and even if not the Shanahan's have generally valued trench players with first round picks (though not IOL). I see WR being somewhat similar to DBs in the past few years, where the team doesn't see quite the need as the public and Shanahan knowing he can scheme guys open. Lynch also highlighted when picking McGlinchey how important it is to take OTs early when you have the opportunity and hopefully the team is unlikely to have this kind of opportunity again soon.

Rumours floated around yesterday that a number of players are on the trade block but unless there is a crazy offer it will be Goodwin and one of Coleman or Breida moved, likely in some kind of packages to move up in the draft to 3rd/4th.

Buckner trade definitely made studying the draft a lot more interesting while in isolation

Not easy but nothing like that historically tough run at the tail end of last season, especially after having such an early bye.

No super cold games and the only 2 early games scheduled all season are done by week 3 and they will be able to stay on the east coast between them. Mixed bag on getting the new coaches and large overhaul teams earlier and later in the season. I think the schedule is also better regarding teams being more rested against us.

Yeah can't see them restructure Mostert's newish contract. Especially at the RB position, where we know Coach is pretty good at finding and plugging guys in when needed. If we have a season, really hoping McKinnon can be healthy...would solve the issue of Mostert leaving/sitting out.

49ers really stacking up on those former 1st rounders. Worked very well in the past with Tomlinson.

Interested to see if any of the cheap fliers on Jordan, Austin, or White make the roster. There is a curve ball this year where they can put up to 6 veterans on the practice squad. If these guys want a chance to reboot their careers with a winning side and in a scheme that suits them they might accept hanging around on that until a roster spot opens up.

Verrett is getting good reviews from camp, getting a lot of time with the starters. Obviously always an injury away from it all disappearing. Williams apparently the monster he was before his break, incredibly athletic in the run and holding his own against Bosa.

Injuries seem to have ruined him. It is always such a pity.

Despite our injuries, he only joined the team late last week so I think he'll struggle to make the initial squad whatever happens. Potential that they cut him so they can avoid cutting a player that will hit waivers and then bring him either on the main squad or to practice.

Jimmy was awful, some of his throws were just a case of lobbing it up there and hoping for the best, he missed open receivers and was indecisive a lot of the time.

Injuries to Kittle and no WR mitigate this somewhat but I'm not seeing any improvement from last year.

Defensively we were owned by Murray and Co, couldn't get off the field, and gave up way too many silly penalties. Doesn't bode well for this season though you'd expect them to improve. They really need some receiver help.

Taylor and Pettis contributed nothing, bourne was ok but he should be a WR3 at best.

Jimmy was dire. They seemed shell shocked from the punt block until the 4th quarter. Even just in the last drive, that was an easy TD for Bourne with a better throw (though Bourne should have still done better with it) and the last throw to Taylor was late.

For all the blame on Jimmy, it didn't seem like Kyle was even calling plays to the WRs. We've seen similar from him in previous years. Whether it is not trusting Jimmy or the WRs, either way they need to get rid of whoever they don't trust.

As I mentioned in the main thread, this isn't a huge surprise given the injuries and how they've struggled with the Cards and mobile QBs in general. Hopefully not jinxing things too much but the next 2 weeks should give them a chance to play themselves into some form.

I've been very much a JG defender but he was very poor. Saw an interesting stat that each season he had poor performances regarding accuracy so there is potential that he should improve (he went to average or above average by week 2 or 3 each season).

I remember posting here with happiness over Chip's first win and we saw where that went.
