We could have Halloween and Xmas themed masks this year. :)

Now seriously, whats the point of that post? Is it because you know you haven't got a leg to stand on when it comes to making excuses for not wearing a mask? So your thought process is to make up some rubbish and finish off by calling them names. Weak.

Im pro mask and just back from Lidl in a mask where I carried out hand hygiene on arrival and on departure and also maintained sd, as did most people wearing a mask, it is almost like it made them even more aware.

Are shops allowed do that when the leglisation hasn't been passed yet?

Shops can do what they want on their own premises. It's private property. If they'd wanted to do it back in March, they could have.

I passed my local petrol station and shop today and no one in side was wearing masks. Went to dunnes myself and the shop was busy and pretty much everyone was wearing a mask, a couple of people wearing it wrong but I think I literally saw one person only with no mask.

Amazing that you can read minds and know the behaviour of so many people who you have never even seen. Any people I've seen with masks have been keeping SD and sanitising.

Why make up such drivel? Have you no other argument against wearing a mask, so you just try to disparage those who wear one? Or it it just an attempt to get a rise out of people?

It’s almost like all the fairytales we’ve gotten in here where anytime someone with a mask sees someone without, they are all incredibly having coughing fits and not even covering their mouths with their hands.

Was in Aldi and there was 100% face covering usage by customers. Called in to Lidl afterwards to shop for others and there was myself and one other wearing coverings. When does this legislation come in?

I agree in that I'm surprised at the number of coughing reports too, when I can't recall coming across any myself. But, that doesn't excuse the blatant misrepresentation of mask wearers I was replying too.

So, deflect away: it doesn't legitimise the utter nonsense of that post.

I am proud to be a confronter. Today I confronted two antisocial types who were unmasked in a busy petrol station. I said “ you are not wearing a mask, masks are mandatory, you are not respecting people’s safe space, please obey the rules” it’s simple guys, if everyone confronted the antisocial potential spreader nodes for covid19 that would go a long way towards modifying their behavior.

I pitched this idea to one of my minority friends and he thought it was a great idea despite having a poor grasp of English- citizens rainbow mask patrol, masked confronters who give up a few hours a day to patrol for mask compliance. There are plenty of activists at a loose end since the climate emergency stopped getting the same coverage that could ensure mask compliance for the greater good.

Masks arent just about blocking coughs and sneezes... Speaking produces and expels virus carrying droplets.

In Tesco this evening, probably about 40% wearing a mask, pretty poor compliance. Even a few staff members not wearing them. Can ya get a fine yet?

We shouldn’t have thrown the baby out with the bath water when the Berlin Wall came down guys. East Germany actually had a lot of great ideas when it came to getting its citizenry involved with the maintenance of law and order using various state programs.

No to confronting. You could say something to the wrong person and end up regretting it. It’s up to the stores now.

And you will be asked to wear one, as two shops I was in today insisted, so get used to wearing one without touching it.

You cant wear mask without touching your face.Sanitizer does not stay long on your hands because one part goes straight to air as fumes, the next part mixing with your ands sweat and other goes under your skin prety quickly becaise your skin breeding. You geting more bacteria trough hands than trough the air because you touch everything. include items you bringing from shop at home which was previosly touched by other people. The bacteria parts are heavy and falling down covering all are around you as dust which seats on everything. The mask give you false sence of sequrity and you simply touch everything around more often. Also nobody sanitize gloves when bacteria live on gloves longer and after people with hands in gloves touching mask on them faces.I simply will not go to the shop in that case.

Someone tells me "to get ****ed". I predictably react and it gets worse. No thanks, it's not my job to enforce it. I'm not worried about this virus but I'll do my bit I'm asked.

I didn’t pay for Kung fu lessons for nothing. Obviously I want to maintain social distance but if it came down to the wire I’d take a non complaint mofo out.

If I sense aggression I will politely ask them to respect my safe space. If they cross over into my safe space I will Bruce Lee them into an ambulance , simple as that guys.

I don't think anyone thinks hand sanitizer KEEPS hands clean. It sanitizes them once you use it, if you touch something you're no longer 'clean'. You sanitize your hands and then put the mask on, leaving it on. There is no need to be taking it off and putting it on like a whores knickers. To take it off, you sanitize your hands, remove the mask, sanitize again. I don't understand the body of your post to be honest.
