Ryanair ryr851 just did a go around at dub, clear skies, very little traffic, what’s that all about?

I tried relistening to the broadcast - it was not clear, but they asked Tower if it was OK to break off the approach around 7 miles out.

The plane didn’t even have its landing gear down, I wonder did he have a problem? Nothing on the runway that I could see (on fr)

That should be an A330, ex-Atlas Global. Another one left a few days ago for Rio.

The AN225 delivered the medical supplies to Warsaw this morning. There was a camera in the flight deck for the last 16 minutes of the flight.

Jebus, that was a short final. He was still turning onto the centreline crossing the motorway. The Ukrainians love a tactical approach. Fantastic. Sounds like the pilot is pulling G's just before touchdown. Very laboured breathing.

    Thanks.

Any reason why he did a flyover first, just checking out a new runway?? Just interested, I am not very familiar with aviation matters, but have a lot of time on my hands these days :-)

Cessna Citation flying in parallel pattern around Tullamore presently, any idea what this is about? At 15000 ft.

I presume that with the wing wave (you can see it banking left and right during the flyover, and it's very clear from the outside view), it was just an overflight for the crowds that would no doubt have been gathered. It's the largest aircraft in the world, and has been grounded for quite a while for maintenance. There's only one flying, and it's uniqueness gets it huge attention wherever it goes. Probably the first time into Poland, so a wave hello.

I saw it arrive and depart from Shannon a few years ago and it's beyond impressive close-up. Totally unique sound and it's take-off looks so slow and ponderous with a very flat climb-out. Hopefully it will visit us again.

Is it similar or far bigger than the Antonov that stopped off in Shannon last week for refueling on its way to New York with emergency medical supplies.?

Looks like it's descending for either Shannon or Dublin, Near Athlone now, and still not clear which of the 2 it's going for, though it's looking more like Dublin

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Looks likely, went straight from Runway to close to one of the 300 gates, not sure if it's on the gate or close, but no stop for inspection by emergency vehicles, straight in to gate, led by one of the OPS vehicles.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

That aircraft defiantly racks up the mileage. In the last few days it's being in Darwin and Brisbane. Not bad for an old bird.

The AN-225 is bigger. Has six engines v four for the AN-124. Wider, longer and heavier.

    Some interesting Antonov info here:
