The lack of commercial traffic at the moment means they can go to places that would normally not be overly receptive to training flights, and it's giving the people that are completing training or adding extra type ratings a much better level of experience than just going to the limited choices around Ireland, which has to be worth doing.

If nothing else, talking to air traffic controllers that don't have Irish accents won't be doing any harm, and going to places they don't normally go will be helping to widen their experience, as that's what will happen more often with the move to CASA or jet types, which go further afield on a regular basis

The PC-12 is a new type for the Air Corps and three more are on order. X280 was delivered about 2 weeks ago and has been very busy doing crew training ever since. Up to that, the Air Corps had been using a different PC-12 (a Pilatus loan/hire ?) for several weeks, also for crew training. Since X280 was delivered, they've been going hell for leather with the pilot training. I notice it leaving Luxembourg just now, heading back home I assume. The PC-12 is a fine airplane but not the fastest for such long journeys.

Because you haven’t included a screenshot any reply will be a guess. Unless the poster has inside knowledge. In future if possible include a screenshot or at least look and see where the aircraft came from or with limited tracking info was it low level where had it roughly come from etc. FR24 doesn’t have the aircrafts history for review so it is impossible to say. Saying it is over Brest heading NW is scant information to work off of sorry. The only thing I can suggest is watch the IAC social media accounts over the next few days and they may post some information about the mission or what they have been up to.

What it was doing could have been any of the possible roles that the aircraft fulfils for the IAC.

There's a lot of confusion at the moment on FR24 with where flight are going and where FR thinks they are going, due to the number of extra or reorganised flights that are happening, particularly with cargo operations.

Looks likely, went straight from Runway to close to one of the 300 gates, not sure if it's on the gate or close, but no stop for inspection by emergency vehicles, straight in to gate, led by one of the OPS vehicles.
