On the 2k radius, does that mean I can go for a walk for 2k from my home and then 2k back to my home? Or 1K out and 1K back?

    Seriously?

Think 2km is being very generous really - should be grateful it's not like other countries where you are not allowed out except for shopping

Sorry they have restated on rte news. People can only leave their houses under certain circumstances, food shopping, visiting pharmacy, medical appointments or exceptional family affairs and exercise within a 2km radius of your house.
    It seems pretty clear.
Not being funny or trolling but why do some people have such an issue with following orders.
Stay at home, not jogging for 2 weeks won't kill you.

Not jogging for 2 weeks is fine but longer could.

So I leave my house, turn left and run 2km. Then I turn and run back to my house and do 2km in other direction. That's 5 miles Paddy when I get back home, hardly beyond the wit of man!

    Click and collect ??

There were no slots available for 6 weeks locally when I checked yesterday. And that was across a couple of shops.
But look, it may not be an issue. As I said I turned it off before he reached that point. Seems a bit counter-intuitive though.

The country needs to go back to work with restrictions lifted on april 14 regardless. at that stage the damage caused by fighting the virus, will be greater than the virus itself.

On the list of essential workers...

I'm willing to bet that all american pharma/medical device companies here will stay open even if they've NOTHING to do with helping the situation. Money money money.

FFS, they make medial equipment for sick people, of course they will stay open, Jesus

All these measures are pointless unless they are enforced. The people that will abide by them have probably always been staying at home unless absolutely required. The people that haven't been abiding all along won't be. They need the army and guards on the street. Just a few checkpoints that move around each county so the images will be on social media and on the news.

This is my point. If it's just another round of recommendations it's meaningless. Those who have been ignoring already will continue to do so unless there's actual real restrictions.

Ah seriously, shut down the pharmaceutical companies?

That would have a far greater health impact than the virus!

Wasnt a huge fan of him before, but as has been said many times before he's playing an absolute blinder with this.

I know him. He's a sound chap. Shame there are Muppets out there that criticise him especially those protestors that were outside his house.

Western Australia recorded 24 new cases of COVID-19 including five-month-old

The identity of the state's second death was also revealed as retiree Ray Daniels

Mr Daniels was 'fit and active' and died 48 hours after first showing signs

End of the day, someone is going to have to pay for this cluaterfvck in some manner. Let's all sit at home in the dark and starve is it?

Manufacturing and multinationals have kept the lights on here after financial services and construction companies and 'superstar' investors ran us into the ground, of course these firms should stay open.

I think these new restrictions are being brought in for paddy's demographic, who are obviously unable to follow simple recommendations on their own without the government stepping in.

Next time Leo should do two separate announcements. One normal one and then one where he doesn't use any words with more than four letters.

It's been fine to jog 5 miles away for the last few weeks and it's fine to do it in every other country that is allowing exercise. It's a stupid nonsensical restriction

You could look for a new route, the circumference of a 2km radius is 12.5km.
I have a nice 8k route in that. Maybe you could check a map and see if there is a route for yourself.

You are dead right, you do what you want,

Can everyine please ignore Paddy from here on..
Maybe if we stop giving him the attention he will stop missbehaving ..... Works with my kids...

Is paddy not right? Walking 2km and walking 5km? No difference really as long as you are alone
