Painful, can she not just give credit where it's due. It's been a mammoth task to get Social Welfare and Revenue to get these supports up and running. Major credit is due to all concerned. Payments will be made this Friday, what more does she want

    What am i missing?

All the workers in my office told to report in tomorrow. 90% of us do non essential work but still told to come in. 50 of us in the same office. All 2 meters apart though. I would of thought non essential workers wouldn't be asked to go in. But seeing as 10% is then they are putting us all in the same boat and getting everyone in

Tip off the guards, that will sort it.

What's going to stop employers from demanding staff turn up and then just ignore 'social distancing'?

Where i work, there is very strict Physical/Social Distancing when entering the factory...But once your inside there is very little physical distancing, and still folks all bunched together to clock out.

We are only manufacturing medical devices which are used in procedures which are typically 97% elective so not really needed in the present moment...But they won't close

An unfortunate set of numbers from Italy after 2 days of decreases. It's not a realistic number all the same, as was said today it could be 10 times the reported numbers.

On the reported numbers we really have to see how they go for the rest of the week as lockdown is now only in effect 14 days

I wonder is there now spread beyond Northern Italy. Lockdown began there first, but people travelled from there to other regions before it was implemented.

No Its all about choices, they made some wrong choices.

That's your opinion but you can't say they weren't preparing. They have been since January, we are in a better position than losts of other countries. We moved to implement restrictions alot earlier too.

Looking over across the water I'd rather have this gov than boris when it comes to actions taken

She was previously on discussing how they won the ‘popular vote’. When it was put to her that we have PRStV and popular vote is Meaningless, she proceeded on a rant about how SF are the people’s voice so that’s what matters

No they haven`t. They are only being shutdown from this evening.

Eh yes they have. They have been closed from day one as it was a government institution.

That New York governor doesn't hold back, good on him:

Although this thread isn't for politics could SF not give them some credit.

That was an embarrassment of an interview, we are in an unprecedented situation and all they can do is still throw digs and pull money out of nowhere.

Put the people first and at least acknowledge the measures before you try and out do and political point score.

Astonished no action on public transport especially of busses where there is high risk of transmission.

Just off top of head, from no expertise whatsoever in practically of implementation cf operationally or unions etc.

Restricted occupancy per vehicle, increased frequencies at peak periods, reduce services off peak.

Limit to one window occupant per row either side, similar spacing elderly seats.

No standing, no attempt to leave seats till bus stops, spaced exits from seats nearest exits first.

    Spray interiors quickly at termini.

All drivers supplied with two masks and pairs of gloves plus a disposal bag (to be disposed at end of shift).

Don't aim to eliminate transmission, rather concentrate on quick implementable measures to reduce extent.

Spend your time focusing on other hobbies, or take the time to learn something new... no good will come from reading thousands of words on this pandemic each day. :)

    This is not a holiday!

You are in the middle of a very serious global crisis.

People are discussing a constantly changing dynamic. Nobody really knows what is going to happen over the next few weeks and months!

It quite often pays to be the sharpest one... the one who is watching and reading everything that is going on. Otherwise you may get caught with your trousers down, if things change at a fast pace! (Which they can and do in a crisis situation) :)

Complete vagueness from Leo regarding businesses. I'm not impressed. But sure unless he listed every single type of buildings and said if they were to close or not there is bound to be confusion.

Managing directors around the country now have been left a window to stay in operation. Not cool

8.2% rise in total number of new cases from yesterday to today. Is it starting to flatten at all?

Cleaning to be ramped up, limit to amount of passangers and 2m rule to be adhered to.

Agreed our government is better then Borris or Trump, they are proactive and they are doing a good job and are on point. I'm just not willing to forget the terrible state the health service was in before this point after 10 years of government. It is relevant to this current crisis.
