Is the priest going to go down and disinfect the seats after someone leaves? Haven't been to a church in years and only for funerals but I do remember hankies were often seen in hands while they were kneeling with their hands on the back of the pews.

A good confession will get even the soul cleansed.

So is it April 19th or 12 weeks?

Step by step approach to get the public used to it type of plan. Expect more extensions.

Will DIY superstores be considered non essential?

If you spring a leak and need a length of pipe that's where I'd be going.

If you spring a leak head to your doctor :o

    What 'scroungers'?

Someone on JSA for the majority of their working life.

I was responding to a previous poster, who claimed "scroungers" on the dole don't need an increase as their circumstances have not changed.

I was highlighting difference between JSA and JSB.

So I'm self isolating waiting for a test. Now my partner and kids have to self isolate also. So she won't be able to go to the shop etc?

    400k confirmed cases reached

300k was only breached on Saturday just shows how much things have ramped up across the world.

Surely public transport should be stopped? I live in Cork City and every bus that passes is completely empty. Pointless having them running.

Between this and construction sites I think it is going to turn out to be a fatal mistake and it wont be realised for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Maybe they want this lot to be the first groups to get infected. Then they'll reopen hairdressers and gums, and they're the next bunch.

Whilst I'm obviously joking, it would actually make sense from a herd immunity point of view!

Get a neighbour to drop stuff at the door.

I wont hold my breath on the crowds at the beaches etc

Well it's been said an increased gardai presence to disperse crowds.

Anyone who still packs up the car and goes off to the beach or the mountains when being advised not deserves a fine of some sort

Some people still have to get to work, and a quiet bus allows for distance between passengers (and driver).

I would really appreciate if somebody could please provide clarification on the following.

What income support can be claimed by someone who is not an EU citizen but has worked (part-time, as well as studying) and paid tax for the last 2/3 years and started a new job on 2 March? They lost their job (retail) almost immediately.

Why what was mentioned about people going out for walks or runs or exercise ?

That people should still give themselves fresh air and exercise. Walks, runs etc all fine but not in groups and keep distance

But you have just said you where not effected by the virus, You where let go before hand, People have been let go purely due to Corna (act of god) you have not been,

How is that hard to understand ?

No need to be obnoxious. I perfectly understand the circumstances. What you don't seem to get is I am now in the same situation as people who have lost their job due to the virus. It will be very hard to find work now.

What about workers who are providing essential services and need to get to work? If they don't have their own vehicle how are they supposed to manage?

Can't be a full shutdown, reduction of services maybe.

    Prime example below:

Is this the case? Someone I live with is waiting on a test but I've been in work. I'm not showing any symptoms but still may be a issue
