A cousin nursing in London has tested positive for covid...she's young and healthy .but she's still sick....as a small hospital ..
I have just been told that an elderly cousin, who nurses in a care home up the country is displaying symptoms and is waiting for her test results....
Without a hint of my normal sarcasm... nurses are the real hero's in all this..

How about 🤔🤔......a virtual hug instead 🤗?

    Always! :)

Couchside. Have given up pretending to work in favour of eating a cornetto and watching Schitt's Creek.

I would say so. Can't hurt to a drop or two.

Just finished working at home for the day. Going to get dinner soon and watch some netflix. Week 2 of this social isolating is weird. Getting into a routine now but its kind of depressing as you are limited in what you can do.

Just watched the news, updates on restrictions (if any) to be announced tomorrow, with clarification on school closures. I'm expecting the worst, but sure we all knew it was coming.

There's reports of idiots flocking to McDonald's all day ahead of its closure. Why worry when you can have a big mac?

Never try and inside the mind of an idiot, you might get trapped in that mindset.

Never approach a bull from the front
    A horse from the back
Or an idiot from any angle

Slut's pasta is basic tomatoey pasta with garlic, onions, olives and anchovies, but I didn't use anchovies.

    I didn't invent the name...

Sitting down dazed after an earlier energy burst from steroids...not the ones some athletes misuse, but they still give me mad energy.

I spoke to a teacher friend today. She doesn't expect schools to be back before September but she hasn't been told anything yet. Im not surprised at all, it's obvious this is the long haul.

Our curfew has started, still some cars on the main road, but quite a number of police cars.

Walked to nearest large supermarket today, they had sanitiser, paper towels, gloves and masks at the door, they also had signs asking people to keep their distance combined with lines on the floor, shelves stocked to usual levels and about 20 people in the whole supermarket.

Infected cases went up to 10% over yesterday, hopefully this trend continues or reduces.

Many online shops are closing due to uncertainty over travel restrictions and the implications for transport and delivery. If you need to order from the UK, better sooner than later.
I'm armchair side trying to work out what I actually need to order.

I'd say you'll be getting a refund soon.

Sitting on my bed trying to muster the energy to iron my work uniform for the week ahead and texting my friends to arrange video chats at the weekend when I’m off. I miss hanging out with them but I know it’s a necessary evil and it’ll be worth it. I’ve been fairly optimistic about this whole thing up to now but had a bit of a wobble today and the cynicism reared it’s head.

Probably not...I w gotten my flight and Barca hotel.... but no onus on Irish hotels to refund...I'll give it away or ask the hotel to donate it for a night, as it's already paid

Just hung some art prints and wiped down the leaves of some houseplants. This pandemic is very good for the appearance of my house!

I'm partial to Kerry men, less so to Dublin.

Eh...hang on...where were they made???? How were they delivered????

As for McDonalds today, I watched the RTE news report from Maynooth at lunchtime and right behind the reporter cars were steaming into the drive thru. A fooking traffic jam. Kids in the back of some cars. Two other lads parked up and went in. The world is full of morons.

I really fear for those that can't actually cook a meal.

    Kitchen table. Laptop. Catching up.

Homeside after a busy day in work. I have watched 3 violent movies in the past two day with lots of shooting in them. Given the amount of fools there are worldwide, not just in Ireland, Grandeeod's shotgun approach is looking more and more appealing to me....
And as if fate was trying to encourage me more I was listening to The Talking Heads this morning and the first lines of Once In A Lifetime are...

"And you may find yourself, Living in a shotgun shack"
Tis kismet lads I'm telling ya! :pac:

Just to add, nothing against Dublin as such, I'm just a country girl and I'm not at home in any city.
