Similar to this fella I assume - "car needs repairs I have all the parts"

At least the other yoke was a starlet, this is far from a Delorean

What if one of the co-owners refuses to hand over the car or crashes it or won't pay share for big repair bill?

    I haven't even seen a picture of a TR7 in donkey's years!

When I was a kid, the most treasured possessions in my toy car collection were a white TR7 and a blue Fiat X1/9.
I still harbour notions of buying an X1/9 at some stage.

    NFTs funged. No questions asked.

If you can't afford an exotic car, you definitely can't afford the repairs. Maintenance would be a huge cost too. I think a lot of these classics have out of date tyre sizes too and usually the manufacturers do limited runs.

I wouldn't go halves with my best friend, nevermind a dozen randomers!

Want to be nuts buying into a car share like this. There would be murder over it.

No Guard I don't own that kilo bag of white powder you just found in the glove box and all over my face. It must belong to one of the other 16 loonies who bought into this Eyetalian sportscar

Looks nice and its obviously well looked after, but is it worth €3500?

No, not worth the colour of it.

That said it looks lovely for a 5dr hatch.

    €5k surely buys ya a middling 20v
€2-3k should get a 1.6si or 1.8gxi rougher ones being cheaper.

So surely no one could justify giving similar or more for the least desirable model of the e10 no matter how nice it is.

I know a lot was spent on 20v parts but at the end of the day it still has the wrong engine and it would probably cost the same to insure that as a genuine 20v. I know a fair few years ago reps were popular to drive as they were cheaper to insure.

I honestly think a clean, solid shell would sell better than a genuine 20V with just alright shell these days.
Someone will pay that money and put a place top in it.

    1 owner car from new

    3 owners on it.

Also, it’s a base model 1.3 - not even the fanboys are gonna pay that for it.

A guy in work just sold a 99 Corolla G6 rep, 3 door, full interior and the right wheels etc for 500 euro.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,016 ✭✭✭✭PsychoPete

A good fx-gt isnt to far off 10k these days, if you can find one. I thought 2k at a push maybe 2.5k would be enough for that corolla

5 door is the most undesirable body style too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,328 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Liftback and estate must be even less popular?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,016 ✭✭✭✭PsychoPete

I think the estates are pretty desirable but liftbacks are like the first and last slices in a slice pan, unappealing and unwanted

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,328 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    I’d love a JDM Estate.

    I'd rather a Stagea!

Don't get me wrong, this is all kinds of WIN but €1,950 for a Camry with no NCT, high tax, over 100k miles, scuffs on the rear bumper and a recession already underway the price is all wrong.

I'd love it and would be interested but there no way it's a car worth more than €950 or have I lost touch myself? Even if it was perfect and had properly low mileage for a collector to be interested I couldn't see it worth €1,950.

I honestly think that the previous model to that is a more desirable car to be honest, especially with a v6. That model just didn't do it for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,308 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

Camry's were built for the V6. That thing is underpowered even with a 2.2 litre.

Yeah but if you’re gonna buy a 3.0 car, should it really be a FWD Toyota you get?

There's a 9-3 Vector 2.6 turbo sitting forlorn outside my window if that's your bag: anyone want throw a value on it ?
