It's PC wokeness by big companies. So many adverts now try to cram as many demographics into it as possible. It's like there's a check list for ads now that have to include white, brown, black and oriental people, some kids, usually mixed race with mum's Afro and white dad, a few elderly people some gay folks, gay older same sex couples are a new feature too. I sometimes wonder what it is they are trying to sell me, a mindset or a product? It's like there's a push to turn things on their heads for the sake of it. Tiresome really and fooling nobody.

I recall an Eastern Europe Microsoft photoshopped more white people into an ad .. sure why wouldn’t they it reflected their demographic

Coleslaw. Vile tasting and destroys the taste of the rest of the food. That and it gives me terrible reflux. Potato salad is only slightly better.

I give you egg mayonaise.Vile stuff.looks and smells like vomit

As somebody who looks outwardly healthy and is still relatively young but who has a damaged pelvis that means I walk slow, the “Why do people walk slow on footpaths?” moans irk me. They’ve no idea what anybody’s health status is, even if the person looks young and healthy. I really wish I could walk faster but I can’t. I understand people feeling momentarily annoyed but whining about it later on? Good lord, they’ve no problems.

Agree totally. I am a slow walker because of age and disability. Irks ME when impatient folk jostle me and give those dramatic sighs and heavenward looks. One day they too will be old.

Yes. I turned 38 recently and I admit that I'm finding it difficult getting older. I was having a chat with someone and she reminded me that no person on this earth is getting any younger.

I really like avocado and while they are full of fat it's far better for you than a pile of sausages. Its the shortening of the name I don't get, avo. Images of those Happy Pear two immediately spring to mind when I encounter that word.
Yuck, they are so bland and slimy.

Skinny clothes, especially on middle aged fat men.

Every single time I travel I see people that can't extend their legs fully, struggle to sit down lest they rip the arse out or worse still, have a shirt desperately trying to keep the gut from exploding out over the crotch even more than it already is.

It doesn't look good, it's not practical, it must be a killer in the baby makers and it sure as hell isn't comfortable traveling

A roll from subway they are ****e

Ah now, can’t beat a foot long BMT with all the salads and lashings of south west absolutely delicious. Go for one every Friday without fail, wouldn’t be Friday without subway!

Only when they are ripe :)

I dont get why some people dont like Persea :P Americana ( avocados )

If you believe https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/318620 they are full of stuff thats fierce good for you.

WRT food miles : avocados are native to the Canary Islands so need not be sourced from the far side of south america.

One thing that I dont get is why the excess heat from data centres is not utilized by co-locating them with grow houses for semitropical fruit - bananas, avocados etc etc )

I'd forgotten all about them until I saw one of the characters on the recent re run of This Life from 1996 using one.

Not just surprised more mystified :pac:

Lots to be said for a mature nicely rounded Persea. Preferably one that leaves a taste of chocolate on the lips.

I'm not a fan of egg mayonnaise, but I've always thought coleslaw looks more like vomit, what with the diced carrots and everything. I'm quite fond of it, all the same (coleslaw, not vomit).

    Goat's cheese. Now there's something I don't get.

I love goat's cheese, I don't think it's particularly strong, though I did have a hard mature one recently that was quite pungent. I often wonder is it the idea that it's from a goat that puts people off.

Charity bag packers in supermarkets (Usually a local GAA team) getting in the way and making shoppers feel obliged to give a donation for their 'efforts'.
Why should the public be funding your team/hobby? Most people would rather pack their own bags to suit themselves.

They're not the only one, I'm fairly sure I saw a Samsung flip yoke in the last few days

I would say if you don’t vote, don’t complain about politics.
Im sure nobody would have a problem if you complained about other things.

It was more so the ignorant presumption that I complain about things that politicians have the power to change if I complained hard enough, so because I don't vote, I'm "warned" not to complain, when I never have, and never will.

This is real pet hate of my better half, he's really particular about how bags are packed and tells them so, he even gives out to me when I do it.
I myself have an issue with being pressurised into making a donation. The GAA is not a charity, they're not strapped for cash.

You should complain, as much as you like. It’s your democratic right to do so.

Yes it is really annoying g when people put no thought into packing their shopping.

Like putting the potatoes on top and the bread on the bottom

A proper spicy sauce shouldn't contain vinegar.

There’s a few generations of McElhinneys (tabasco) that would disagree with you. And a lot of Portuguese.

Esp when they don't even pay their top players, you know, like you'd expect in other sports. Goes against the ethos.
No problem about selling broadcasting rights off to the top bidder though. It's a joke, kids and adults going around begging for their local club.

People who use hash and say it doesn't harm anyone, completely safe drug etc.

Thousands of people in Central America have been killed and often tortured horribly first so that you can buy your hash.

Think you’ve got your “wires” crossed there, P. Don’t think there’s much hash coming out of Central America.

As far as I’m aware, it’s Morocco and Afghanistan where the bulk of it comes from. Don’t think the hash “trade” is as brutal as the cocaine, or heroin, one. Open to correction on that though.

Whoops, you're right I should have said cocaine.
