J*nes blaming "bile and bitterness" of rival clubs on Twitter.

You really do love to see this kind of piggish behaviour get its comeuppance.
At this stage Farrell could murder someone and Jones would point out the guy deserved it...

They have played 8 games this season and sit on -7 points.

With 14 games remaining Sarries could get up to 63 points, which in previous seasons has been enough for the semi finals, and they Currently have the players to Achieve it.

It’s possible, unlikely but possible that Sarries could win the league, be relegated and win the champions cup and not be in the competition next year.

Are they not getting hit with the 2nd 35 point deduction? Or is that dropped because they are getting relegated anyway?

If they keep their squad, their siege mentality and make sure to skin the Current top 6 teams when they Play in the league then it’s possible.

    Unlikely but possible.

Ah it isn't. They're going to lose a huge chunk of the squad to England for the 6N, but even without that it isn't.

There's also only been one season in the past ten than 63pts would get you to the SF.

No it's just going to be automatic relegation regardless of what they finish on now

    This could break the club

    Hopefully.

Are we even talking about this in the right context?

Sarries have had ongoing debt issues, they've obviously been paying absurd 'can't say no' money to players to join them. When they go down they need to hold onto Wray's backing and keep their sponsors or the financial situation will get out of control.

What is the penalty for going insolvent as a club?

This could genuinely end them. With so many internationals at the club I wonder where the RFU stand in all of this. This is one of the biggest ever stories in the sport unfolding before us.

I had a look at the championship league table.

Amphill is a mid table team. I happen to know Ampthill well and I swear to you it’s a fcuking VILLAGE. It’s tiny.

I heard Madigan on a podcast and he said the bottom half of it is AIL standard.

The drop off is huge. If the Saracens Cheetahs (c) ( rebranding suggestion) can hold onto their C team they should go back up.

I read that Nigel Wray wrote off the debt this week when he left as a director.

So they're a debt free club with no fans.

I think the financial hurdles might be harder to pass than winning the Championship

But it's looking like they can't go back up after one season. They have to have been within the salary cap for the previous two and clearly that can't be met.

Yep, but they're also running at £4 million loss per year. Wray wrote off their debt to the parent company owned by him, but that doesn't stop the hemorrhaging of money, particularly when you look at the potential loss of sponsorship, TV revenue, and ticket sales.

He wrote it off at the end of 2018.

Sure. Apparently the Wray family will continue to bank roll it. But yeah, they're not sustainable as a club, that is for sure.

    Apparently

This has to be a concern though, the owner paying all debts and then severing ties makes for a very uncertain future.

Going to be a strange atmosphere tomorrow but no doubt the supporters will get behind the team.

I'd say just a PR exercise. Tone down the trumpet blowing stuff. Especially given the large question marks hanging over those 'titles'.

There are suggestions that they’ll be stripped. Or something along those lines.

This is far from over anyway. Not sure how they can survive in the Championship, especially if they don’t come straight back up

Yeah quite possibly. It's just if anything doing it now draws more attention to it. Wonder are they scrubbing their site too.

Cheetahs. Yes, very interesting. I will think deeply on that. Yes. Three cheers for durkadurka. Yes.

The Saracens debacle has saved one of Leicester, London Irish and Wasps. All three are on 13 points, just 18 ahead of Saracens who absolutely would have caught up to them. One of them would have been relegated but for this.

Can't wait to see them tog out in that tin pot league. Good enough for them.

Feel sorry for all 3 of their fans.

Whatever about the domestic titles, can't see a reason to hand back or be stripped of the Heineken Cup, unless it's argued that they only qualified for it via their domestic league when they shouldn't have been in a position to do so?

So does anyone know if the teams they've rebranded in the likes of Romania, Russia etc are actually bankrolled by Saracens, if they've been winning things and if this will affect those teams?

Just a partnership with Sarries, no ownership or anything involved as far as I'm aware.
