Due to new work commitments/environment I won't have the same leisure access that I used too. I need to make some changes anyway. But you are all a great crew and I will drop in when I can. I've been on boards since 2003 and this is only my second account. But this thread was the best ever!

Good luck G. A change is as good as a rest as the old saying goes.

Be sure and do Grandeeod, you have my admiration and well wishes. The day we rest on our laurels is the day we may pack it up. Would love to know what the adventure is:-)

Agreed. I feel like my knees are on fire here today from all the exercise I’ve done the last few months.

Bedside watching Friends, it gets a bad rap I think. I’m chuckling away to it here.

Oh Lord, reminds me of a date I went on in my younger days, literally ended up wearing my dinner....
It was a nice Italian place in Templeogue. Dunno if still open. Anyway, I was admittedly a bit flash back then, picked her up in a cab, went for cocktails first. Had already had a couple at home for dutch courage, then cocktails then into the Italian.
Was fairly borderline tipsy/drunk by the time we got to restaurant.
Middle of main course and she went to toilet. I was having chops which were smothered in tomato sauce or whatever ya wanna call it.
So I went to cut through a chop in a fairly harmless manoeuvre but accidentally brought the knife towards me in a motion that plastered my left shoulder in the tomato sauce. Covered myself in it.
So I could see one woman laughing but nobody else noticed. Herself is still in toilet.
So had to think fast so I put my coat on to cover up the disaster area on my shirt.
She returns, conversation continues and no mention of it.
Then waitress comes over to offer desserts. I said no, no, we're grand thanks, bill please.
Waitress then says "oh look at your shirt you've splashed sauce on it, give me your shirt and I will put boiling water on it to prevent a stain".
Of course theres half a pint of sauce an inch further up that my coat is hiding.
So I say ah no, fine thanks bill please. And then she says no we can get the stain out and starts grabbing at my coat.
Meanwhile my date mentions that she's like ice cream anyway so she could have that while they put boiling water on my shirt!!!!!
And all the while I can feel the tonne of hidden tomato sauce warming my left arm pit and chest while it trickles down.
Eventually won the tug of war with the waitress, paid bill, explained to my date that I didnt fancy a drink after and hopped into a taxi.
Driver asked "were you eating a lot of garlic by any chance?" :pac:

Abed! Sleeping in the downstairs room. I've let muttonchops i.e our dog sleep in my bed for the first time in this house tonight. He's contented, and so am I. :) Goodnight earthlings
