I am literally bristling with excitement for the game on the 9th

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

I'm going to the Vikings game next Monday. Also very excited!

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭akenno

I'm flying out on Thursday. I'm going to the huskies cougars game on Friday and then the build up to the vikings game on the Monday.

Greetings from Centurylink 12s! Go Hawks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

You’re getting one of the less stressful games.

Absolutely blowing them away up front second half - Penny/Carson able to hit huge holes

    Defence also two turnovers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Might even get to rest some players now with the 6 day turnaround to the Rams

    Scrap that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

No no, that ended up quite stressful in the end! It ended up a typical Seahawks game with that late sinking feeling.

But what a brilliant night. They really know how to give the fans an experience. I'm hoarse, deaf and exhausted.

Sets us up nicely to run the table and get the No.1, I guess we’re hoping the 9ers get a win against Saints now as long as we can beat them in Week 17. Home field advantage would be huge throughout the playoffs.

I’m up next. Roll on Sunday!!

Rams suddenly seemed like their old selves on Sunday.

Might be that the Cardinals D was awful but will be tough next Sunday

Last night game of the season

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭akenno

Great win and even better to be back on top of the division. Just when it looked like we could relax a bit in our seats they go ahead and let the vikings back in.

The atmosphere in the stadium was unbelievable, night games in Seattle are special.

I was skeptical of this team up to a month ago. I’m still not sure if the defence can win a Super Bowl. However they are proving to be a winning team. I think they’ve been in so many close and crazy games this season that the self belief they’ve gained from that means they will go into every game, every play knowing that they can always win, always find a way as Russ would say!

It’s been great to watch so far. What a rebuilding job from Schneider and Carroll. Legends both!

    Game day!

Sitting in the stadium. Ready to go

Not going great at all but the atmosphere here is incredible.

Two picks now on two drives, time to start turning this around

Disappointing loss, never got going on offense and defense were torn apart by McVeigh.

Worrying overall but win @Carolina and our last two home games and we'll get a bye.

Hopefully Penny injury isn't too bad as he was just becoming a major part of this team.

Disappointing result, but incredible experience. Absolutely electric in the stadium.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Yeah look poor on both sides of the ball last night. Rams always a bogey team.

10-3 with two on paper easier games before 49ers come to town.

We've bounced back well before so hopefully do it again this weekend. It was never going to be straightforward!

A win is a win but injuries are really taking its toll on the defence now.

Seeing Wagner and Diggs not return is a huge concern!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Hadn't realised Diggs was injured too. Bobby was walking so hopefully a week of rest, uce and cotton wool does the job. The defense looked lost without him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

    From Pete, seen in reddit:

Wagner has a sprained ankle, said he’s “doing fine”. Diggs also has a sprained ankle, Carroll said it’s probably worse than Wagner’s. Clowney was still “violently sick” on Friday, threw up at practice. Lockett said the flu really hit him, still taking medicine and is still down 10 pounds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

And look who’s back top of the NFC West!

And no.1 seed in the NFC at least for 24 hours!

    Onto week 16!

I could do with that flu

I’ll be shocked if Josh Gordon is a success at Seattle. I think it’s a bit of desperation after losing Dissly and not being able to acquire a TE with his productivity.

Josh Gordon suspended indefinitely for illegal substance use

Bloody hell! Every player/person should be given another chance to make amends.

But...he needs real change in his life.

And he is just setting a really bad example at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Does that mean he was caught in the past week? And just after a spectacular catch too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

So if ourselves and the Saints tie the same record then they have us on the tie breaker

But if the Packers are in there too we have the tie breaker against both.

    Go Pack go!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭akenno

Just win out and then the rest will look after itself.

2 wins and they have at the very least a bye.

As expected our game against the niners has been moved to the Sunday night football spot for week 17

Under real pressure in this game now!

    Injuries are killing them.

Quite a tough watch, really makes you think how valuable that first round bye could be to get a weeks rest into the squad, so thin on both sides at the minute. According to beat writers on twitter Carsons injury looks more like a short term pain thing, so fingers crossed he’ll be back next week.

A miracle might be on yet

A miracle might be on yet

A miracle can only happen if they throw the ball. Crowd getting on their back now over it, haven’t had a first down since half way through the first quarter which is criminal.

Last night was a disaster. Injuries have more or less ruined a chance of a run in the playoffs now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 546 ✭✭✭Cjs21

Looks like beat writers jumped the gun, Carson done for the year. Surely we’ll jump in to sign someone to cover, Homer just doesn’t look too good, but that’s why he’s 4th on the depth chart I guess. A bit of a Devin Hester from a few years back maybe!

Last nights result doesn't have much impact does it, had to win next week to get top seed, still need to win next week to get top seed.

The new injuries on the other hand have messed up the season unfortunately.

No chance of top seed anymore, Panthers need to beat Saints (which is definitely not happening), need packers to lose tonight and next week (Lions aren’t looking like they could do anything against them) so really, we’re looking at either the #5 away to the eagles or the #3 with a win against the 9ers at home to the Vikings. Either way, we need to find an RB over the next few days. CJ Anderson who done a few good things for the broncos over the years and I don’t know how I’m even writing this but...Marshawn Lynch...are the 2 names being mentioned

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭akenno

Last night couldn't have gone much worse. But the way this season has gone, an all out game against the 49ers for the division title, a win isn't beyond the team.

Now that Carson is done, Wilson it is over to you. I really hope Carroll and Schottenheimer just give Wilson the ball and say do your thing. Lockett and Metcalf were poor last night, let's hope for better fortune next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,938 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I wonder would Marshawn come back to you? CJ Anderson is out there too. A couple of good ones available. Lynch, if interested, might be a great one for four or so games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 546 ✭✭✭Cjs21

Rapoport, Garafolo and Pelissoro all saying Lynch is now traveling to Seattle as he wants to play for them again. Bob Condotta who’s usually a reliable ITK beat writer for the Seattle times said that he’s visited VMAC a lot this season.

Really still hard to believe he’d come back playing under Pete though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,930 ✭✭✭Paleface

It would be cool to see him line out for the team again!!

It's confirmed. Beast Mode is back!

Looks like it’s a big marketing ploy for his clothing line so far haha!

Even if he’s terrible I’ll still be happy to see him back, Robert Turbin is back too. Wilson must be happy with that.

Waiting for the Shaun Alexander is back announcement now

Tbh, I think our chances of getting to a conference final are shot anyway, so I'm just looking at this as a skittle-coloured rainbow moment of joy in a dark week

I’d still fancy us against the Eagles, would be nice to have 1 playoff win this year, this season was meant to be a 3-5 win season after all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,930 ✭✭✭Paleface

Great to have him back and I'm sure the atmosphere at the Clink will be electric Sunday night as a result!

Its wishful thinking that he or Turbin are going to spearhead a run to the Superbowl though. There are just too many injuries elsewhere.

The team is currently missing starters at RB1, RB2, C & TE that we know for sure are gone for the season. Then on top of that their starters at LT, CB, SS and DE are injured and its highly unlikely all of them will play again.

No team can cope with that!
