Whatever about the inaction up until now the Gardai seem to know well who is responsible for this and they have one of them on CCTV. They also have the horse box he was tortured in so its highly likely the perps left DNA behind them there. Problem now though is the culprits are not going to be the right side of the border for arrests. This will suit the person who was paying them down to the ground.

This is very good on the money trial and how high up Kevin Lunney was !

He never learned in that looks like he was offered a deal that would have given him back control and gambled again and lost !

This is not fair on a number of levels.

Number 1 being you're calling Sean Quinn a dope. A dope wouldn't have built such a huge multi billionaire multi national business empire like Quinn did.

Number 2 is that it's absolutely nothing to do with Quinn not being a Dub and 100% to do with what he was doing, the debts he'd run up, and the state of the business at the time.

Number 3 is nobody miss sold Anglo to him, he bought all those shares on his own back. Anglo didn't even know until it was far too late that he'd bought them or even how much he'd bought.

Number 4 is I don't condone but.....:rolleyes:

Sean is no innocent, he was playing big boy games and wasnt some small amateur.

If only there was some way that poor Sean could have got independent advice to understand the risks he was taking on?

Have a read of that Currency article to see how risk assessment wasn't part of his language.

Mis sold? This wasn't a case of payment protection insurance. This was a billion euro gamble to take control of the bank, because being multi millionaires just wasn't enough and he had to over reach as he strived to make them all billionaires.

It was greed - plain and simple.

Yeah saw that in the papers yesterday, its pretty brazen of them given the extra Garda/PSNI attention going on in Cavan & Fermanagh right now. There has still been no arrests, would imagine the culprits have gone somewhere to lie low.

Listened to an interview Sean Quinn gave to Shannonside Radio. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I don't believe him when he says his family had nothing to do with the attack on Kevin Lunney.

Heard that interview myself and he kept referring to Kevin Lunney as "that man" despite the fact Lunney worked directly for Quinn for the guts of 15 years. Its been mentioned he was like a son to him. Its obvious Quinn feels betrayed by Lunney with the take over of the company.

Any stock can tank, General Electric was one of the largest companies in the world twenty years ago, it's dropped more than 75% in value, it was as "blue chip" as they come but SQ didn't just go all in on one stock, he bought CFD,s which are extremely high risk financial instruments

No.

It boils down to who owns the business.

For 5 years there have been over 70 incidents from arson, trying to blow up the hq with a lorry tanker of kerosene, death threats assaults etc.

The Garda response has been low key in response to very serious incidents.

On Drivetime they said breaking news Gardaí are investigating an attack on the Quinn director Kevin Lunney who was attacked last month more as we get it.

Actually, the Armed Response unit and helicopter were up over Drogheda earlier at lunch time. I figured it was related to the on going gang problems here but maybe connected to this ?

It was a land issue coupled with a give the company back to Quinn thing. Madness. The Garda should be on this. They look to be letting it fester. The council workers fearful to take down signs is ridiculous. Get in neighboring workers, have Garda/Army do it.

Wow, our police force are shocking, or just shockingly underfunded and underarmed, could you imagine this carry on in New York for example, they would be raiding the homes and seizing the assets of everyone involved within the week, irrespective of their criminal clout or organisation. They'd have informants, undercover operatives, NSA correspondence and phone calls and actual weapons. I wonder about the guards ability to fight organised crime.
You can't be allowing criminal interact with non criminal business like this.

I think it’s fair to assume this is the case, if it was anybody but the provos doing this the guards would have arrested them long ago but they are obviously still in fear of the scum, they all know well who is doing this, what has this country come to where a state body, the county council are afraid to remove signage, drew Harris should be all over this, the limerick template needs to be actioned, flood the area with balavlavaed armed cops and hunt them down, the same crew are behind all the atm robberies, Sean Quinn obviously had an arrangement with them over the years and the funds which bought his business weren’t going to tolerate it
