Conor is not even close to the most lucrative boxer from Ireland.
Michael Flatley is worth about twice what Conor is.

    That's the fight to make.

Who would win? Katie Taylor or McGregor in a boxing match? My money would be that Katie would flatten him

Why does McGregor not fight any more? He should be fighting at least twice a year. I don't get it.

might have some pending legal worries hanging over him that could be a hindrance to scheduling a big fight 5/6 months out.

He will fight Diaz again at some stage and make 10 million for the actual fight, and have a 6 month build to the fight where his whiskey/other sponsorship items will be advertised non stop.

    Happy days for the MCG

Thread has gone full retard again I see.

Normally only happens around fight week.

It’s khabib fight week next week maybe that’s why.
Who would have thought a few years ago that khabib would become more popular than Conor. I think Conor completely misjudged who he was taking on when he started all the derogatory Twitter wars with khabibs crew. Surprised nobody in his team were not able to reign him in a bit.

if Poirier wins would the UFC book him to defend vs McGregor? Don't think Dustin would turn down the chance at revenge and a massive payday.

From a purely financial point of view it would be the best matchup but not even gimp Dana could bluff up an excuse to justify giving MCG a title shot

Not true, there are less McGregor diehards on this thread now as more have seen the light!

He will just say “it’s the fight fans want to see” and that will be good enough.

If Poirier pulls off the upset it will assuredly be McGregor next in line. Dustin will call for it too. There's simply too many mitigating reasons for it not to happen. And the UFC is not a meritocracy.

I think khabib will have things even easier than he had against Mcgregor. He will take Dustin to the floor easier, Conor actually has good takedown defense, and apart from the pounding in 2nd round and giving up his back in 4th his defense against khabib was good.
I think khabib wins this one inside 2 rounds. Ref will stop due to ground and pound.

I don't agree. Don't think we can write Porier off tbh.

Agreed. I expect Khabib to win but I do think Poirier will make a scrap of it. He's as durable as they come.

Another one here who thinks khabib wont have it as easy people think he will. I think this will be his toughest test to date.

Agreed, I feel Poirier can potentially hurt Khabib in all the areas that McGregor could, but also has a lot more experience of having to gut it out and battle through adversity in his fights

Might be slightly harsh on McGregor, but I feel if Poirier makes it to round 4 after winning round three as McGregor did, he'll have that dog mentality to really dig in and put the foot down.

I certainly hope so anyway, Poirier seems a really likeable guy.

I think McG did incredibly well to fight off Khabibs takedowns for so long in round one, but he was about to be submitted in round two before he drilled Khabib with an illegal knee, don't know how he didn't split Khabibs head open.

Because he has very little power at that weight.

I think khabib vs Dustin will be as one sided as Dublin will have it tomorrow. And that’s only because his way is to get you to ground and maul you, and he is so strong there hasn’t yet been a way to beat it.
Only way to beat him is to avoid being taken down. Can Dustin do that?? I doubt it.

Dublin won’t play that badly again. Only 1 team playing football today and Kerry definitely deserved to win. Dublin will win easy next day, similar to khabib!!
