12.2mm rain reported in Dublin Airport at 1400. Not much for Phoenix Park and Casement.

Dublin CC.....some of the heaviest rain I have ever seen anywhere!!!

Just back from the city centre. Heavy rain and spot flooding all the way the way back.

Rain has stopped in Dublin 16. 12.6mm here from that shower with high rain rate of 87.2mm/hr.

Weird, I'm probably 2 minutes as the crow flies from.Phoneix Park and it's torrential here. Everywhere is flooded.

North Kildare, near the Meath border and there is explosive convection to my north and east now. Temperature just under 20c and humidity is at 95%.

Can see another cell firing up just off the south Dublin coast.

Shame the low is moving away from Ireland all I'm getting down here is a bit of light rain. God knows we need rain and lots of it. It's been especially dry here this year.

Coming on shore near Skerries now and increased convection just inland so some more action probable over the next couple of hours around the Dublin area.

That cell popped up in a matter of minutes in Ashbourne, moving south. Could be a potent one for west Dublin, possibly the very east of Kildare as well

Looks like a strike in the past minute in the Blanchardstown area. Another cell has also popped up half way between Navan and Drogheda.

Blinding flashes and deafening rumbles in Lucan. Torrential rain, roads are flooding. I'm on the bus. It's scary!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭KildareP

Fairly sure that was just a positive strike, massive explosive thunder, the entire building vibrated and it's a fairly solid building!
