Thank god your in a minority of people.

Always amazing what sort of fringe lunatic shams people are willing to back.

I could literally parrot two populist things to you and you'd follow me down the street

    Excellent stuff.

Amazing to me that any sentient human being cannot immediately recognise Casey as an attention-seeking chancer. I suppose it's a sign of how desperate some of these people are for an Irish version of Trump that they'll abase themselves before anyone with an ounce of profile who says something vaguely disobliging about immigrants.

He'd get elected to the Dail in either Roscommon south Leitrim or Longford Westmeath.

It’s Roscommon/(East)Galway since 2016, and I doubt he would as they’re small 3/4 seaters so not much room for him. They’ve their own popular independents: Kevin Boxer Moran, Michael Fitzmaurice and Denis Naughten if you still consider him independent. Though he tallied better than the exit poll, Europe is a different story to the Dáil. Rural voters want someone who has pride in the area and will fight for their area in Leinster House (giving rise to the Healy-Raes, Michael Lowrys and such). They don’t want some millionaire self proclaimed Messiah coming down from Donegal to save their county that he probably knows sweet f*** all about.

    No that's idiotic.

You don't send a message by sending a random gom off for a nice pension. You send nothing with that.
I just told you they ate not listening and you are telling me to talk to them?

He could have a go at Sligo Leitrim. Which takes in part of Donegal and half of Cavan. Currently two FF, one FG and one SF. They are mostly simple folk who are easily led:)
    The TDs .

3 elections = what looks like 3 failures. Somebody is not listening alright = the electorate.

Or maybe they are listening and they dont like what they are hearing from him.

That would be my interpretation of it. The electorate is not stupid.

If you don't get a mandate from them, you need to refine your policies. It's a truism for anyone involved in politics.

3 elections, same shtick and same result for Peter now.

Also, voting for a stupid candidate can end pretty badly as demonstrated by certain world leaders at the moment.

The president of the US, for one. Basically destroyed their international reputation for the foreseeable.

Let me guess, you preferred Barack Obama, the man who increased racial tensions and started droning?

Comes over to Ireland and says "yes we can" and reads a speech well and everyone fawns over him.

YES WE CAN SEND UNMANNED DRONES TO KILL INNOCENT CHILDREN.

Hasn't Trump increased drone usage and further divided the nation?

Are you comparing Peter Casey to Trump? That's just insane.

If you read the post I was responding to it'd be obvious I wasn't.

I am saying he's a populist who makes outlandish and stupid statements with no actual knowledge. Which is not of any benefit to any of us...

You say populist, so it's something that people actually care about?
No other candidate covering it and so they vote for him. What's wrong with that?

They didn't choose to elect him.. His populism basically relied on him making controversial statements. Plenty of politicians have gone to Europe like that and have done nothing btw.

Has he been eliminated? We don't even have a first count yet.

You should get out of Dublin for a day you might learn something.

The last time that I was in Dublin, Enda Kenny was still Taoiseach!

I would never vote for Casey. At staet he was spot on but then went full belt crazy.

However if ye were all as outraged on Governments

Who have tried to destroy honest people like Mcabe
Tired to be outraged about women losing third lives due to Government who tried to hide it
People who have taken money from the blind and OAP
People who only change their mind in Abortion to get into Government
A party that has ties to the Nazi Support
    People losing their homes

If people were just as outraged about that we not be in the **** up we are.

But hey it's all good now Gemna and Peter have been put in their place right.

No I asked you if he has been eliminated. Last I heard he is one of five in a very tight race for the last three seats.

More like 1 of 4 in a race for the 4th seat. Exit polls have him at 7% against 10% for both Ming and Walsh. That is a lot to make up.

That is based on polls, not votes. We will see the lie of the land this afternoon.

It's based on tallies. They could be wildly innacurate.
