    Hello,

I'm thinking of upgrading my boy's PC, which is almost out of warranty (2 years).
It was bought from PC Specialist, and I'd like to move the following bundle:

    ASUS® Z170 PRO GAMING: ATX, LG1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs
    Overclocked Intel® Core™i7-6700k Quad Core (4.00GHz @ upto MAX 4.60GHz)
Noctua NH-D15S Ultra Quiet Performance CPU Cooler
    16GB HyperX SAVAGE DDR4 3000MHz (2 x 8GB Kit)

I don't know what would be a fair price to ask. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Probably an 8700K and a whole lot of RGB.

I would say hang onto it unless you're willing to drop a huge pile of cash (on what would probably be a rather pointless CPU upgrade?) Re-sale value of 6700 and 7700 has plummetted, go for as little as €150 now even though they're still fairly top tier gaming CPU's.

Unless you're streaming/multi-tasking heavily and frequently, I can't see the logic personally.

You might have a lot more luck selling the monitor and PC separately. Always interest in 144hz screens 2nd hand, though most buyers who are interested in the full package don't care/understand the value and see it as just a normal 1080p monitor.

Same goes for mice/keyboards/accessories - most buyers buying a full setup don't really attach much value to the cost of these items, as well as things like watercoolers, high-end fans, etc.

Hard to say in todays market, as something is only worth what someone will pay. Realistically, maybe get around 800-900 for the PC+monitor bundle.

@jay132 - some good components there that command strong enough prices second hand. Split the whole thing up and sell each item separately on adverts.ie

You'll get more that way than selling as a complete bundle...

I am currently selling a HP Desktop PC, along with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Also included is Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 and Norton Internet Security valid until January 2019.

I purchased the PC in mid 2015, and came to a total cost of €649.99. I'm looking for €200 for the whole lot. It would be ideal for a Christmas present or for college students. I need it gone as soon as possible.

It is in pristine condition and I myself have never had any issues with it.

I have it advertised on both adverts.ie and DoneDeal. Below are the links for the adverts and on there you will find all necessary specs and other information.

In the meantime, if anyone's interested or has any enquiries, feel free to reply :D

Spec is very poor. And you put a non-negotiable price of €200 on it. No wonder you haven't sold it in 7 months to be brutally honest. I'd take any offer over €100 if I were you. You'll probably get more if you split it all up.

I need it gone ASAP, but don’t want to let it go for little or nothing, for €200 you’re getting the whole lot (keyboard, mouse, monitor, Microsoft office). I understand that the computer itself isn’t worth €200 but the price includes those added extras.

It’s just been a nightmare trying to sell :(

I think the problem is that stuff typically doesn't add much value for most people, and the base PC is only worth about €60 as it's very low end/outdated with no upgrade possibility.

The monitor wouldn't be worth more than about €40 either. I honestly think you'll just have to accept anything over €100-120 as a reasonable price.

It's 5 years old and was even low end enough 5 year ago it's just not desirable to anyone for that money. Screens can be got so cheap now if rather have 100 euro in my pocket then sit on that for another year trying sell it.

They are not worth anything either ..... LibreOffice is free to use.
Used keyboard and mouse ...... free to 'good home' quite often.

    How much for:

    i5 2500k
    8GB GSkill RipJaws-X CL9 DDR3 RAM.
    MSI Military P67A GD53
    Arctic Cooler Freezer 7

Also getting around to selling my ASUS PRIME Z270P or my ASUS STRIX Z270F, any reason to keep one over the other in general? Both brand new, unused and the latter sells for more. Probably will keep the latter, it does seem better constructed.

I've been offered €125 for the PC, monitor, keyboard & mouse. Do y'all think that's a decent amount? Given what you've all said

I've been thinking of upgrading to a new workstation/gaming PC soon but I need to know roughly how much I'd get for my old one so I can plan a budget out for a new one:

    Lenovo ThinkStation S30
    3.6GHz Xeon E5-1620
    16GB Buffered ECC DDR3 at 1333MHz (8x 2GB sticks in Quad Channel)
    GTX 970 GPU, 128GB Samsung 830 SSD with Windows 10 and a 1TB HDD

Thanks in advance, Been trying to find similar specced systems online but asking prices vary dramaticly on different listings.

Based on current system selling prices on adverts and the age, I'd say about 400, maybe a bit less or a bit more depending.

Thanks, might keep the 970 for my next system then, how much do you reckon I'd get if I sell it with a basic GPU? like a spare GTS 250 I have here, cheapest S30s on ebay with the same cpu and ram (with basic gpu) are going for €300, I have a feeling that's a bit too high

It is, you might get more if you sell on Ebay but that's such a titanic pain in the ass, no idea how people can bring themselves to do it.

I don't think much to be honest, these days you can pick up i7-4770/i7-3770 based machines for as little as €200 with 8GB 1600mhz ram and an SSD in them on Ebay or Adverts.

I know it's still a very capable processor but it's old and 1333mhz ram is very old school as well. Without the GPU I doubt you'd get more than about €200-250 for it on Adverts or whatever, and GTX970's sell for €100-120 now 2nd hand as well.

Combined, as it's a decent games machine, it'll get more than selling the PC + card seperately most likely. I'd probably stick it up for €500 and see what happens, and be willing to accept around €400 as a reasonable offer.

That's okay then, going to hold on to the 970 and carry it over to the new pc because honestly it does everything I need in terms of gaming and I'm only really looking to upgrade to get something with better single threaded performance. When I'm ready I'll stick up the S30 with the 250 gts in instead for €250 and see what offers I get. cheers for the help.

Decent core machine but really let down by the now weak low-end GPU, so I doubt you'd get more than about 400 for it....bit more on the likes of DoneDeal where people know less about PC's. If the person selling is upgrading, it'd be way more economical to just get a new GPU and sell the GTX960 for €80 as the i7-4770 is still an excellent gaming CPU.

I no longer need a gaming laptop I've had for the past 4 years that spent all of it's time on a desk with little use so I'm looking to sell it.

Would anybody know how much a like new Acer Aspire VN7-591G with these specs is worth:

    CPU: 2.6GHz Intel Core i7-4720HQ (quad-core, 6MB cache)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB GDDR5 RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4600
    RAM: 16GB DDR3L
    Screen: 15.6-inch, 1,920 x 1,080 IPS
Storage: 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD (5,400 RPM)
Ports: 3 x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Headphone jack, Ethernet, SD Card reader
Connectivity: Dual Wireless Antennas, 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
    Camera: 720p webcam

Guess you have price a new gaming laptop 800~1200 then work back a couple of years. 600 ish maybe.

I think given current market prices you'd probably be looking at around 400-450 at best.

    I've an Alienware laptop with a 6700HQ and GTX980 with 16GB DDR4 and a 4K screen and I couldn't get any offers over 550.

You could get a new laptop that would be faster than your spec for about €750.
