Was hoping to purchase the OnePlus 6 128gb only that the Irish website is out of stock. How likely are they to restock the phone before the 6T comes out?

they wouldn't restock anymore as they're expecting people to buy the 6T once it's available. they'll just sell their remaining stocks looks like 64gb left

I've just bought the 6/64gb and very happy with it. I was stuck with ever increasing storage requirements until I got Spotify. Now I found I don't even use the 64gb I have...

I was at 91% storage with the OnePlus 3 (64gb). Cleared the cache of different Apps and unintalled unused apps which brought me to 76% storage. Never thought of Spotify til I saw your post and now I'm at 42%.
I'm looking to upgrade to OP6 to last me 2+ years and don't think 64gb will do me.

Suppose it depends on the amount of video too? I'm at 18% used and I did a direct transfer from my old phone.

I delete or offload video and photos to Google Drive or my to my laptop, so it's really just about good housekeeping!

Is the 17th October confirmed for 6T? I'm still seeing articles suggesting it will be the date, I cant see anything confirming it yet.

This could well be the first one I've bought since the One, depending on next week. What are they like for seeking out at launch these days and what are the waits like when they do?

Really couldn't care less about the finger print scanner being in the screen, I'm hoping for a lot more than that, especially since there will be another bump in price.

Not sure what you specifically mean by "a lot more than that", but if your hopes are as they sound, then I'd suggest you wait for the Oneplus 7 next year. The 3T and 5T were very much incremental updates (or refinements, if you will) on their respective base models (in fact the big difference in the 5T was, ironically enough given your comment, the move of the fingerprint sensor!), and I can't see any reason to expect that trend to change here.

With Oneplus in recent years it's become a safe assumption that if you want to get a whole new hardware platform as early as possible then you go for the H1 release, if you want what is essentially an incremental update or refinement on top of that, you go for the H2 (i.e. the T update) release.

Yeah "a lot more" was a bit much, I'm not expecting huge upgrades. Maybe I'm wrong but as far as I remember the 3T and 5T didn't take away any features like the 6T will be. Yes they both got minor upgrades but newer cpu on 3T, better screen on 5T etc etc. Its too early to say at the moment but if the 6T is only adding screen unlock while bumping up the price and taking away the headphone jack well then then that's a downgrade imo.

It's giving more screen real estate as well and minimising the notch.

I've found on the 6 hardly any apps will use the top part of the screen as the phone is the wrong aspect ratio. The screen real estate it's adding is about 10 millimeters wide and 5 millimeters high.

The worst part of the 6 IMO has to be the screen size. Instagram and Snapchat cut off the sides of every story as the screen is too long and thin to display them. And it cuts off some useful information when playing Hearthstone and some other games. I think 18:9 feels better than 16:9 in some ways but barely any apps work properly with it.

Out of stock in the OP website...

Could be the end of the op6 if you want to buy it from the official website?

Massive upgrade for me. I'd love a front unlock again and I couldn't care less if headphone jacks and speakers completely disappeared. Camera is a huge 'wait and see' though. Everything else is known but I haven't seen if they're upgrading that.

Still stock on the oneplus UK site although the 64GB version is now out of stock there also. I nearly bought it about 3 hours ago and it was still available so must be a rush on to get the last of the OP6

Since the latest update my phone keeps unlocking with a rotated screen, in landscape, and quickly flicks back to portrait. Not a huge issue but a bit annoying.

Gonna try lock the screen to portrait and see if that helps. Anyone else have this issue?

Just got mine yesterday from the missus as an unexpected gift.
So far I've been using a OnePlus One, this will now be used as a multi media device hooked up to an old stereo in the kitchen as a radio media player.
I mostly use my phone as a Swiss army device, it hooks up to my android head unit in the car via Bluetooth and works as a WiFi hotspot, it's got WhatsApp, Facebook, messenger, email, obd diagnostic device, it's got pingtools and I take a lot of pictures (so far they look good).
Been only using it for 2 days, but so far it's been very good.
And I think it's quite an endorsement of the One that I think it's still very usable. The 6 so far is overall nicer and more responsive, but not the giant leap as going from my old HTC Sensation to the One.
I was looking at phones in the 200-300 bracket and they aren't much of an improvement over the One.
In short, love my 6, but still love my 1.

I love my 6 but it's not performing as well since the pie update:
    • it takes ages for apps to update
    • calls don't sync with bluetooth speakers (headphones or car) - a known bug
    • apps are much more likely to crash or drop off where I never had problems before
    • standby batter power much less consistent
    • most widgets don't work

Might go back to the 3 until they release a fix.

I have the bullets and the sound pretty good. But I'm no audiophile

Beware of the latest update. I got it last night and it has taken usability down a bit. You have to be much more specific with gestures to make them work.

I used to be able to swipe up and hold to get it to show all the apps I currently have open but now when I do that the app just follows my finger and I have to place the app in the correct place and let go to show the currently opened apps. And it seems like some sort of physics was added the apps wobble around and get bigger or smaller depending on where you touch. They used to be in a fixed place and you could swipe up to get rid of them and left to switch between them, now they just do funny sorts of movements. See the picture I have attached, that isn't acceptable functionality imo.
