New thread for the 2018 season. :):)

I was just thinking that TheLoop Dublin airport shopping (or other airports of course) could be a handy place to pick up a few beauty gifts at reduced cost since it's currently holiday time for many people.
Most cosmetics I use are about a tenner cheaper there, and some fancy schmancy skin-creams can be up to €30 less than the retail price!

For an adult any idea what they are like for sizing?

For women I’d say they’re on the generous side. I’m not sure about men. Kids sizes are small though.

For anybody who has “Frozen” or “ Disney” fans in the house, this retired Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Tree Ornament is currently just under $7 plus $5 for delivery to Ireland. Retailed new at $12 and Hallmark ornaments are unavailable to buy in Ireland. Stand corrected on that!
Bought it for my daughter, and although it’s plastic the detailing is really lovely. We got the resin Disney one and it’s much more delicate.

I saw Heatons have up 50% off toys!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,136 ✭✭✭Lord Spence

    Ok,

So over the years friends or family always seem to ask me about certain items like whats the best TV to get or Games Console to buy or where can I get that toy that seems to be sold out everywhere, well I thought a thread here would be a big help to all those christmas shoppers. The Idea is that people can throw up a request or question and then we all try and help out as much as possible to help that person get the item they are looking for or suggest a better alternative or even a cheaper option, think of it as Santa's little helpers!!!

I'll kick off with a few sites that I use coming up to the big day.

Obviously there is our own bargain alerts thread

    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=346

Hot UK Deals for all the UK bragains https://www.hotukdeals.com/

This one is great its stock informer, keep an eye on or get alerts about the hottest item when it arrives in stock across multiple stores. This saved my skin a few years back to get a snow glow elsa. https://www.stockinformer.co.uk/

    Happy Shopping Ho Ho Ho

Good idea, I sourced a frozen doll thing here one year and sent it home as it was sold out in Ireland. This thread has the spirit of Christmas at heart.

I had a look at ordering hampers, there are some really nice once, I filtered for my location and it took all the nice ones out, anything with even a sniff of booze in them

In Oslo,Norway ,Shopping is way worse.
It is non EU so I do get duty free when travelling but can't bring much into the country due to import duty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭Jude13

But, but, it will be snowy!!

    I know!!
I can not wait for all the snow.
2 of my kids saw the snow here last year but 2 missed it so you can imagine the excitement.
At the moment the weather is like Ireland, damp and dull.

Just make sure you check the date on these - Dealz are known for having short dates on things like this.

Nicholas Mosse has their annual online Black Friday/ weekend sale taking place.

20% off select patterns and free postage in Ireland/ UK for the weekend only.

Its a great opportunity to pick up Christmas gifts! I usually use this sale to pick up some of their more expensive items. Have ordered my cookie jar in old rose reduced from €62 to aprox €49. Delighted with myself! :-)
