    It will though as they won't have to supply a building where people can come in to collect their change.

    It's not their responsibility to provide a building as it's not part of their contract with the NTA. If the NTA wanted to keep the change facility then the NTA would have give change at their headquarters on Harcourt Street. DB keep the fares from DB services including the overpayment and the NTA keep the fares from GAI services including the overpayment.

    Maybe there would be less need for cash if you could top up leap cards online. I’ve gotten caught out a few times having emptied my card by using a nitelink at the weekend etc.

    Set up an auto top up so.

    What I'm trying to get across is that this is happening due to GA coming in.

    I think it's a good thing and sooner we have new machines and proper fare system the better.

    Sure db could shut up their O'Connell St branch and save a few quid.

    I don't think the O'Connell Street office is just there to redeem change receipts.
