Being able to sit in the gentle silence of my own garden and enjoy the sun, the peace, the flitting of birds and a good book.

I'd be the first to say I am not really a pet person, don't get me wrong I don't dislike animals at all just I'd leave em more than take em. The OH is away and what was a seemingly small reason to take our dog to the vet turned into an emergency. Just heard she is out of the woods, surgery went well, no complications. I swear I will never give out about dog hair in the house again, well not too much anyway :)

Find a pack of hula hoops at the back of the cupboard. All that cheesy oniony niceness.

Seeing the first drops of rain appear as I wheel the lawnmower into the shed -having just mown a nice dry lawn.

I can’t sleep but I have the pleasure of listening to the rain lashing down while I’m snuggled up in my cosy bed.

They appear to have gone ballet mad in the 3-year-old's montessori as last week was ballet week in our kitchen. I put on Swan Lake and she started dancing. Unfortunately, she decided to get carried away with not only expansive movements but with closing her eyes and... smashing into the chairs. But her biggest fan, her 1-year-old brother, thought this was inspirational and decided to emulate her so we had a pudgy little buachaill trying the same hand movements with closed eyes, smashing into things and everyone laughing.

His dark side was on show, too. The sister tripped, started crying and he was waddling next to me behind her and decided to throw himself on the ground and pretend crying just for the attention. This was before his latest phase of objecting vehemently to any hugs or affectionate contact I have with his mother. Deadly serious about that. Freud would be impressed!

Happy that another game of Werewolf has started, I haven't missed following one yet. I've been reading boards for years, so a lot of user names are familiar, but I only signed up because I thought I was missing seeing posts on Werewolf. :pac: I couldn't play, but I love it, time to have my head fried...again. :D

Yay, a fan!! PM me if you'd like back-room access to discuss the game. Your head will be even more fried then. :)

Haha, I'm happy to just follow it on thread, that's confusing enough ;) The last one nearly finished me off, but I love trying to figure it out, not that I'm often right. :D Thanks for that though. :)

A neighbours dog keeps coming over to my house. She’s a huge chocolate lab and is just beautiful. She’s been calling for about two weeks, and when she first called she was really scared of me, and would run away. Took a few days for her to let me near her, but she did. Then one night I was outside in the dark bringing my dogs inside and put my hand down to pick my small one up, when I felt her nuzzle my hand and then lick me. Yesterday she wasn’t there when I got home but I was playing with my two when she raced into the garden. She must have heard us. We spent part of the afternoon playing again, and she is so affectionate. She follows me around like my own two do, and when I was bending down to pick up the ball she licked my face. You can never have too many dog friends.

My lungs have been particularly difficult today but I went into town and I got the rest of my sister's birthday present and I feel good that I got what I wanted for her. I'm doing weight watchers but I have treats at the weekend so I got to have a subway melt on the way home and it was so worth the wait. I also bought myself a hoodie that's three sizes too big for me so I'm happily huddled up inside it and feeling content.
