Some years ago I stupidly ran up a lot of credit card debt. It's been quite the struggle to pay it off but today marked my final repayment.

    What a burden lifted!

Putting a smile on my wee ones face. Not really trivial I suppose but it's the best feeling.

Wine and chocolate in large doses and at the same sitting. Very happy.

The evenings are getting chilly. I sat outside this evening wrapped in a cosy blanket, having a mug of tea and reading my book. It was lovely. Autumn is coming :)

I got very excited today when I went in to a shop and saw that their autumn and winter clothes are starting to arrive. Always makes me happy to see, even if I don't buy anything.

Read this on HuffPost this morning and thought it was very poignant.

    WAIT

    Wait

    Wait, for now.

    Distrust everything

    But trust

    Trust the hours

They have carried you to now

    Things will be interesting again

Hair and pain and sand and soot and words will be your friend

    Out of season buds

    Second hand gloves

    You’ll find other hands again

    Wait.

    Don’t go too early

    You’re tired. But everyone’s tired

    Wait

    Wait awhile

And do your best to hear

    Music of hair

    Music of pain,

All the looms weaving all our loves again

    Be there to hear

    Be there to hear it

    Wait

    Wait for now

    Let time do its work

    And trust

    Trust the hours.

They have carried you to now

    Things will be lovely again

Leaves and walks and hurt and tears and breath will be your friend

There’s a song playing through you

    Nature’s playing

    Let it play

    Wait

    Wait

    Make no sudden moves

    Trust

    In the morning

The light will pour on through

Made broccoli & stilton soup from scratch for the first time after getting a bargain on brocc in Tesco. Worked out well!

When I was looking for something else I found my old veg steamer and food processor, yeaa as I had been saving up to buy one of them. Now I can afford a sewing machine!!:D

The girl I flatshare with in the east told me the guy my bedroom is being rented to for the popes visit, is gorgeously yummy and he's staying until Monday, I just hope they don't get any 'friendlier' on my bedding!:D

The absolute joys of talking to ppl who have good hearing/sight and a normal IQ!, a real break from having to wait for ppl to find their glasses, repeating myself constantly and having to explain myself again and again.:D:)

sometimes when i leave the house early [5.30 ish ] on a fine summers morning , there's a beautiful smell of dew and grass . Anybody who has smelled it will know what i mean .. Any morning when conditions are right you can get it and every time i do it brings a smile to my face and memories of summer holidays when i was younger

In a weird mood since I woke up but Th I met a beautiful tuxedo cat on my way to the shop (not the fella who always runs from me :3) but a different fella up near the old folks home, they came over to me meowing and let me pet them, so friendly, they looked old though I could see a few grey or white hairs on them near their whiskers, beautiful none the less and they loved the attention :3.

The disgusted look on girl dog's face this am, when she found that 'someone' had moved her fleecy blanket from exactly the right spot on 'her' bed.

Funny that as I feel it's my bed and my fleecy blanket!

That I started to cut the lawns is half expectation of it being too damp and finishing in bright warm drying sunshine.
