I found something on the phone that's driving me mad. I can only have 2 paired Bluetooth devices at a time. Anyone else notice this or is there a fix?

Is anyone else having any issue with the email app installed on the phone. Every time I delete an email when I go back into the app they are all back there again

This may have nothing to do with your problem but might just get rid of it.
    Worth a lash!

I had a problem with Bluetooth and my Polar heart rate monitor.
It was fine on Nougat but would not work on Oreo.

Found this link which refers to Bluetooth car issues.
It seems there are 3 versions of Bluetooth available on the Mi A1.

    AVRCP 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6.

1.4 would not work for me but 1.5 was fine.

    Try this workaround:

Unpair both devices from each other.
Go to Settings -> System -> About phone -> tap multiple times on "Build number" until you enable "Developer options"
Go back to Settings -> System -> Developer options -> Networking -> Bluetooth AVRCP Version -> Choose AVRCP 1.4 or 1.5
    Restart your phone
    Pair devices and test.

Thanks mate. I will try this later.

I got mine from goldway a couple of days ago. Ordered during the last aliexpress #sale.

Nice phone. Not having to uninstall 100 apps I'll never use felt weird.

The left side of the screen goes darker sometimes, is that a known problem?

Also the phone only seems to like its own usbc charger, or usba to usbc cable. Again is that normal?

Is Amazon Spain still the best place to pick one of these up?

GeekBuying Italian warehouse is where I got mine.

Didn't like the supplied charger so I purchased one of these chargers together with these cables, no issues with charging.

My Xiaomi Mi A1 arrived yesterday but between ordering and receiving I've changed my mind and bought a Huawei on contract instead.

I'm going to sell my A1, so if anyone here would like first shout on it before I put it on adverts or done deal. I'm just looking to get my money back on it.

Xiaomi Mi A1, Black, 64gb, global version, bought from Honorbuy.

Spigen case, black, bought from Amazon.

Both items are unopened in sealed boxes.

Should fly away no problem I'd say

    How much are you after?

I would take €200 for both.

I ordered mine the evening of Cyber Monday and had it the following Thursday. Around €4 for DHL delivery!

Go with Honorbuy, they are cheaper than Geekbuying ATM even with delivery costs added and will be quickest for delivery

Another vote for HonorBuy Italian warehouse.
Got a Xiaomi Note 5A (€93) for the missus and Amazfit Bip (€70) in separate shipments.

Both arrived in 5 working days via DHL.

I also like that they take PayPal which is great if the proverbial hits the fan.

Finally bought this phone, absolutely delighted with it, have it about a week. I need to get a couple of spare chargers for it. Would this one be ok, its a 3.1amp but the one that came with the phone is 2.0amp. Not sure if this makes a difference.

From what I can tell thats only 5 charging cables with USB C 3.1 , 3.1 being the USB version number, not the amps! :) I'd always look on Amazon aswell for chargers vs ebay along with looking at the amazon reviews, companies like Aukey or Anker or Amazon Basic etc, just my 2 cents though.

Bought this phone yesterday. Very happy with it so far. Love the stock Oreo experience. Hopefully xiaomi produce plenty more androidone devices. Only 2 slight drawbacks are the lack of nfc and the fact the phone is a bit slippery but amazing value. I got mine from adverts.ie in the end.

My wife likes the phone so much she is going to sell her iPhone and buy one from honorbuy.

I'm dithering between getting this or waiting for the Nokia 7 Plus. I'm just wondering whether the additional spend on the latter would be justified? The Mi A1 seems to offer superb value for spec, and the only thing really holding me back would be the hope of a better camera.

Look at the specs, Nokia 7 plus far better, plus mi font update regularly, whereas Nokia will for at least 2 years, near on month by month

Twice the price, so it should have better specs.

Also doesn't have band 20 according to kimovil
