Just looked out (Laois) and it's a few cm anyway by the look of it.

I'm meant to drive to Cork today and while I'm sure the motorway will be alright, what's the prediction down there today or for later tonight coming back?

    Cheers

It truly is astonishing to think it is March 18th... We made it !

Here in Dunmanway we have our parade yet to happen this afternoon. The president of the GAA couldn't make yesterday and our parade is also the start of the 90th anniversary of the Sam Maguire celebrations. So not only a parade but also a load of speeches by various dignitaries. It's bitterly cold, worse than yesterday.

Usually all over the snow but today it’s not welcome!

Driving Dublin templeogue to Dundalk for a wedding at midday - need to arrive before 2. Any thoughts or advice? Regretting buying a RWD car right now. From the looks of things it’s set to come down for another few hours.

Serious snow in Swords now, lovely and fluffy, was working night shift and this is the best so far!

Might be ok on the main roads but give yourself at least an extra hour to get there!

Heavy now again in Dublin 16.

Cork can expect snow about an hour or two from now lasting several hours, amounts likely to be in the 3 to 8 cm range. It's heading west along the south coast now. Check the radar. I think it will include most of the county at some point not just a coastal strip.

Don't know what to do now. Is this (a few cm in Laois or less the further south you go) as much as is predicted, or should I leave the drive down till tomorrow... Hmmm

Will this snow be in salthill Galway for 2pm? (Galway v Dublin Pearse Stadium)
Thinking of knocking the trip from Dublin on it's head looks dodgy for driving.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    8 am depths:

2 cm at Dublin and Casement airports.

EDIT: Sorry, read it wrong. Dublin 1 cm at 8 am.

I love the radar at the moment, building and building whilst snowing at at a decent clip at present.
