Sure hard can it be? Buy a few hundred acres, get it zoned, then put in the drainage, landscaping, the seeding, bung in a million for a modest clubhouse. What's the problem with these lazy broads?

They can play the course (pay green fees) and avail of the club's facilities, they're just not eligible to become members.

Private clubs can decide who they admit as members.

O when in this country we still have men-only golf courses.

there are no "men only golf courses" in this country

While there are a couple of Clubs where only men can be "members" of the club (which I don't agree with) women can still play on those courses

The irony of complaining about a woman-only resort in what appears to be a hermetically sealed echo chamber of discontented male voices...

What have you got against hermits?

I don't think anyone was complaining, in fact I think it's a great idea I'm going to get my wife a place there.;)

Apologies horse, meant nothing derogatory by it. Very partial to a bout of carpet licking myself. I’m like a thirsty calf drinking from a bucket, specially if the bird has a nice and tidy bosca on her. :D

And if they barred members on the basis of their religion or race, is that OK? Sure what harm? Can't the jews and the blacks avail of the clubs facilities?

They think they're lucky when they encounter a tribe consisting only of women but soon realise its not so great and they are to be kept as slaves for mating and not allowed to ever leave! :/

Oh poor men. Seriously you have to go to the arctic circle to find an example of a woman-only resort when in this country we still have men-only golf courses. Buck up.

And you agree with that? Or to ask the question more specifically do you agree with single gender facilities, disagree with it or make your decision based on which gender is catered for?

Most of them will be dying for a bit of rock hard cock after a week or two. Specially if they’ve had a few glasses of wine. Can’t see this working. Unless they are all carpet lickers....

Are you the guy who used write scripts for 80's porno?

Or should that be the isle of beautiful lesbos?

Private Club, Private Rules, they can't be coerced into accepting members, they decide.

The rule in this instance is that only men can become full members, I'm not aware of any restrictions against Jewish or Black males.

Should men take court action against the likes of the ICA or Curves?

Counterproductive. I've been trying to talk the husband into getting a Spa treatment and start some yoga as I think it would do him the world of good, and now this crowd goes and shouts to the world that these things are women-only??

Wait, 1) I think you are misinterpreting complaining with bonafide hypocrisy. Remember also the just for woman car insurance? Isn't that also discrimination?
and your 2nd point... men are barred from that island so I fail to see the relevance of your 2nd post? Unless of course you are saying it's not ok to bar a specific gender from open spaces...

There's a sort of undertone here that makes me think its about a bit more than spas and yoga though.....

It's about getting him to do some sort of exercise, and with him having a bad heart and yoga being gentle... his argument back is that that's for little girls, though I do suspect that what he's really saying is that it's not for lazy b*stards like him :D

Seriously, though, I honestly don't see the point in that. There's nothing at all stopping women spending time with other women. If anything, there's too much of it. There's nowhere near enough good, mixed company, instead we have the polarised conversation topics of celebs/fashion/makeup and GAA/cars.

Why do you have to be so crude? I am starting to think that men that say crude derogatory statements about women, just do it, because they feel insecure in front of other men.

If men are not being nice to women, (look at the hundreds, hundreds, of stories on the news sites lately about women being sexually harrassed and attacked by men). A USA gymnast doctor has just been sentenced to over 100 years for abusing 200 girls in his care, shouldnt women be able to go somewhere they feel safe. As I said, as a woman, I choose which country I go too depending on how least abusive the men are.
Do men just not see this going on? Or they don't care? If it was the other way around, I think I might start listening to thousands of men saying that they feel unsafe and unhappy. Anytime this has been brought up in Ireland it has been brushed off by men, so far. Fair play to Bono though, he has talked about women's rights lately. And Leo Varadkar was quoted in print the other day saying 'Ireland is a country where men have told women what to do for too long'. Maybe things are finally changing. It feels like it has been a long fight.

I would imagine that the island has wifi.

How many women have been sentenced for abuse of a similar kind?
If it was the other way around you "think" you "might" listen to men.. so there is the possibility you wouldn't react then?
I suspect one of the reasons you will hear more from women than men when it comes to sexual abuse is that men will be quickly ridiculed by both men and women as being soft.

Here are some figures for both men and women from the US over a 13 year period:

    https://www.rainn.org/statistics/victims-sexual-violence

Women are more prone to it but as you can see it affects men too so by this logic, we should stick our fingers up at the female population and create our own island and say no women allowed.
Wonder how long till it would be called sexist

I don't really see much to be outraged by. Some place that I would never want to go to, won't let me go there. Can't bring myself to care.
