Oweny, I put my finger in my girlfriend's bum while having vagina intercourse (while wearing a condom) after we both performed oral sex on each other; am I in trouble?

Only if you prepared the dinner afterwards without washing your hands...

It helps to prevent contacting STI and unwanted pregnancies so its very essential to many people.

    Now that's what I call multitasking! ;)

I'm not looking for this to turn into any sort of abortion thread, I'm more curious about various christian groups and their views on contraception. This is related to the topic of the 8th but I don't want to see it derailed.

So, what christian religion are you and what are your views on contraception?
Do you believe the use of condoms, female condoms etc should be acceptable?, what are your views on the morning after pill?

I'm Catholic myself, and I would always encourage people to use protection at least. Some people are much less open to the idea of using contraception but I would always try and encourage them to use some form of contraceptive at least. It's a tough one because the two ideas - protection, and contraception, are two different things.

Personally, not a fan of the morning after pill, and would rather women were able to avoid it than have to take it, because apparently it can take a severe toll on a woman, definitely not an experience they'd want repeating.

Do you think that your religion (in cases of Catholics...the Vatican for example) should change with the needs and times and change its views on contraception?

    Nah, tis grand.

If she wants the gift of a child, both husband and wife should pray to God the Father for it as they make intercourse. It will happen. God has promised it.

Tell that to my friend and her husband who've been trying for a baby for over two years now with no success.

You have a very valid point there. We are called to show restraint, to bring our base animal instincts into check, and behave in sexual matters as befits sons and daughters of God.

We are entitled to sexual activity which befits us as God's children. This means that the full ejaculation of the male must be deposited in the female. This naturally bans all sexual activity which results in the spillage of the ejaculation.

Absolutely forbidden. This is the crime which cries out to the high heavens for Vengence.

Remember, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

    Seriously?

Which animals use porn? Or sex toys?

Yes, what you say is true. The problem with oral sex is, besides being a debasement of one of the partners, is that it results in the spillage of the sacred sperm.

So, what if the man has no sperm in his seamen?

I will put it like this. You must be free of sin to enter the Kingdom of God. In order to do this Christ instituted the sacrament of penance. You don't have to detail every aspect of your illicit sexual activity. Just tell the Lord you are sorry for all the selfish things you did during sex.

Or you can do everything you want your whole life and then confess all on your deathbed and do your 5 hail Marys and 7 our fathers

    You've not answered my question,
What if the man or women has aids and their partner doesn't, is condom use in such a situation ok or would you prefer that the person is given a death sentence?

Might be worth a read -

    Abstract

For decades, the Roman Catholic Church opposed use of condoms to prevent spread of sexually transmitted infections (STI) because of their contraceptive effect. In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI said that widespread use of condoms could worsen the situation, a position rejected as ‘unscientific’. Recently, however the Pontiff stated that because the Church considers acts of prostitution and homosexuality to be gravely immoral and disordered, in such specific cases use of a condom might become an initial step in the direction of a moralization leading to an assumption of responsibility and a new awareness of the meaning of sexuality. In doing so, he reaffirmed his belief that condoms cannot solve the problem of STI spread, stressing the Church’s position that modern societies no longer see sexuality as an ‘expression of love, but only as a sort of drug that people administer to themselves’. The new Papal position has been widely applauded, but made conservative Catholics unhappy. A dialogue with the Church now seems possible: Does concentrating on condoms hinder the effectiveness of other strategies? What are the respective roles of condoms and other approaches to prevent infection spread? Does a special situation exist in Africa requiring specific and focused interventions?

I tell you this. Unless you become as a little child, you shall not enter the Kingdom of God. If you do not enter the Kingdom of God, you go to the place of endless darkness.

Is this because, as we all know, the clergy like them young?

Who forbids all these things? Is it written somewhere what is forbidden and what is not?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You don't combat ignorance with ignorance, and I'd rather not be included in that narrative, or any narrative that makes such stupidly insidious, broad, sweeping accusatory generalisations about any section of society.

No, it's a bunch of baloney from what I can only guess is a 13 year old masturbating furiously at his keyboard.
Or he's a genuine flat-earther, i.e. someone who purposly presents with an entirely untenable and bogus viewpoint, which he holds against all arguments, evidence, sense or reason even against his own better knowledge for the sole reason of causing distress and annyance in other posters.
There was another word for that, but it escapes me right now, kinda sounds like roll...

Where do you propose to house these people? You may not have heard, but there's a bit of a housing problem in this country as it stands... Common sense? I don't think so.

    Several times over?

Ok, so right now there's approx 7 billion people in the world, several refers to more then three so you are saying the world can produce enough food for AT LEAST 21 billion people no problem?

I can only repeat the words of the previous poster, your ignorance in relation to this is astounding.

Yes. It's a matter of correct allocation of resources. The wealthiest are miserable graspers, and refuse to share.
You do know that a small area of your back garden could be cultivated to grow more than ample vegetables to feed your family, all spray and pesticide free, the main cause of various cancers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,495 ✭✭✭✭eviltwin

It doesn't matter what resources we have, society has changed. People no longer want to be tied down to large families. People want to work, they want to have a family they can manage, or none at all. People want to enjoy life rather than work themselves into an early grave. I could have had more kids, I stuck with two because I love having a good quality of life and I love being able to provide my children with a good quality of life. I love being able to spend time with my husband which we couldn't do with lots of kids. Contraception has been the main reason for that. Long may it continue.

Did you hear about the fella who came out of the Virgin Megastore with a Daniel O'Donnell album because he was too embarrassed to ask for condoms?
No but I came out of it with condoms because I was too embarrassed to ask for a Daniel O'Donnell album.
