So the new Daytona arcade machine has been leaked online..... by Sega. The update was put online but actually contained the entire game.

Boots stock CR2032 as well as Tesco, they're probably the most common button type battery out there.

Yeah Larry Bundy pointed me towards that.

I wonder if they'll have some way to steer the cars soon... some kind of third party interpreter perhaps?

Actually, I had my Dreamcast battery replaced a few years ago with the CR2032 before I knew that the original one was rechargeable :D - couldn't figure out why it wasn't saving.

In fact, I think that might still be in there, should probably take a look!

Your battery might not actually be dead by the way. From what I remember, I think the dreamcast battery charge only lasts something like 20 days and needs a good 2 hours to charge up.

So unless you're using it on a regular basis it's going to die on you.

(also something I didn't realize before whipping out the old battery!)

Thanks for the info, I never picked up any of those kinda batteries for stuff so I didn't know if they'd be easy or hard to get. :)

That reminds me that I need to get one for my old PC. They still (I think) use them as the BIOS battery, at least my older 1997 PC did. After 13 years it finally died.

They're already feverishly working on that I read a comment said they'd it on control pad but presumably it'll take longer till they nail it properly.

Since I'm playing some PS1 games now I had a look at what is on the memory card I have in the system.

Found my Legend of Dragoon save. 70 hours I wasted on that piece of ****.

70 hours? Is that not a confession that on some level, you appreciated something in the game? :pac:

You must have had waaaay too much time on your hands.

You realise that, at the end of your days, if you're lucky enough to have time to ruminate before you shuffle off, you'll be thinking to yourself..

All I can say is you don't realise how lucky you are as a student with all that free time. I used to plough through rpgs in a week.

I was that soldier, but ploughing through Megadrive and Snes games instead, well it was 1991!

I got it in Boots today, thanks! Couldn't see recharable on any if them so just checked what Console Goods listing said (CR2032 3V Lithium Battery). Had to double check, wasn't feeling too good.

Not really retro but might interest people here.

Went to order the Google Pixel 2. Since can't be gotten in Ireland for some reason, I ordered it off the Curry's UK site. Paypal and parcel motel.

Order was cancelled straight away. They still took my money though so I'm waiting to get that back. Read the terms and conditions and says they don't post to lockers. Having similar problems the last while with ebay aswell.

So I've signed up for address pal. The address is in London so should solve those problems. I chose to pickup in my post office. Anyone else use it yet and know if its good?

Curry's customer service is a pile of crap too. Takes up to a week to get back to you. Meanwhile they have £500 of my money in limbo

I tried Address Pal recently and it was awful. They decided to deliver instead of making it available for pick up from the local post office like I wanted and charged me for delivery without asking. Then of course they didn't actually deliver, pulling the usual thing of saying I wasn't home even though I was and they didn't ring the buzzer. They also didn't even bother leaving a delivery docket so I had no way of knowing where I had to go to pick up the package. Eventually the docket turned up a few days later, again I would have been home at the time but they didn't ring the buzzer. Depot was really awkward to get to so I had to spend money on a taxi. Their customer support seems non-existent and they don't respond to emails, I'm 2 weeks waiting for an apology/explanation/refund.

Luckily my post office and distribution centre are both 5 minutes from my house so hopefully if I use it and they inevitably make a hack of it I'll be able to sort it fast.

Gotta love companies who just don't give a ****. Waiting to get my refund and I'll order one off amazon. It will cost me more but its doesn't matter. Ill at least know Amazon won't be dickheads, and I'll get it

I’m still waiting on a refund from Address Pal for attempting to deliver a parcel which wasn’t mine to my address since the 21st of December.

Email support seems non existent and I can’t get through on the phone.

Could you use DPD? PW send it to your house, there's no lockers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭DinoRex

Do DPD not have lockers? See I don't want stuff being sent to my house as I won't be home and my neigbor will steal it.

I thought they had a service where you can collect your item from pick up locations?

    Yep

Those locations aren't much use to me unfortunately. Back to Parcel Motel, I guess.
