FFS, 2 of my losses have a combined difference of 0.44 points now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

lost a game by 0.08 this week. If I had won it, I had pretty much locked up a playoff spot. Thems the breaks!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,732 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I won by 0.3 of a point, but there will be adjustments made to statlines on Tuesday i think, a single yard added or taken away will overturn the result. No chickens being counted just yet.

A lot of close ones this season! Still a good few in the hunt for playoffs.

Is there a trade deadline? If so, has it passed? If not, anyone interested in J McKinnon RB Vikings? I need help at WR.

In my other league, NFL.com league, we have the tie-breaker set as head to head match-ups. If the head to head record is split at 1/1, what's the subsequent tie breaker? Total points scored? Margin of victory?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,631 ✭✭✭BaronVon

Disregard, found it, it's total points scored.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭Tristram

Jesus. Another shocker of a week. Playoff chances gone.

divisional record is before it gets to points scored though I think.....

Looking like 6 teams (pending one result tonight) on 8-4, with 5 to get to the playoffs....

    Try work that one out.

All of the teams 5-6 look like winning which will consign me to the bottom 4 for this year.I'm going 3-9 with 2 games left with only 1 behind 0-12 and another looking like 3-9.

RIP Houston Cattlemen - I think I'm off to pick up the Head coaching job at the expansion franchise in Albuquerque.

so 6 teams on 8-4, none of which play each other this week. Guarantee I'll be the odd man out!

Just had a look there. One of the 8-4 teams will miss out, even if they all go 9-4.

One 6-6 team will definitely get in as Division winners.

One of the SEVEN 6-6 teams is getting relegated!

Bray Broncos are one fo the six 6-6 teams. I lost this week, but went up in the standings! I stand to either win the division and make the playoffs or I can get relegated. Bit of a crazy year.

Is this week the last week of the regular season in fantasy ? Jesus as he say it's tighter than a ducks arse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,012 ✭✭✭BizzyC

Seems apt that in a season where I had so many narrow wins & losses that the final week comes down to a potential playoff spot, or a potential relegation.....
I'm not liking my odds, I think myself and Infacteh will finish 6-7, with me losing the tie-break....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭Tristram

    Exciting finish!

Does anybody knows the tie-breakers? I'm 6-6 and 4-1 on the division, with the most points on division. And yet I'm behind another team that has 6-6 and 4-1 on the division, but less points than me... Head to head is 1-1

I believe the head to head would be based on everyone at 6-6 not just those in your division. So you have to calculate everyone at 6-6's record against other 6-6s.

I finished bottom of a four way tie last year and the teams weren't all in my division.

I think I might have got to the bottom of this. (Assuming you are Dunboyne Dragons)

There are 3 teams currently tied at 6-6, so you have to take the combined record of games between the 3 of you.

Bray Broncos are 3-1, you are 2-1 and Wont Come Last are 0-3. If you and the Broncos win this week then it changes to a two way tie and I *think* you will win on most points scored.

I'm currently 4-0 against all of the other 6-6 teams. Surely I can't get relegated...!!

    Cheers for that Benimar.

i suppose i can have no complaints! I'm one of the lowest scoring teams while Dunboyne are 2nd or 3rd highest scoring in the entire league.

Just looking at our "Breakdown" records - where you hypothetically play every other team every week, Dunboyne are 3rd best overall at 118-62, while I am lanquishing down the bottom with a 75-105 record!

I know FF is luck of the draw, but strange that the league's luckiest team and most unlucky team are overlapping in the same division.

This is my worst Fantasy team by far in the years I've been doing it, but it's been good fun to follow!

Thanks Benimar, yes that's makes sense!

Yes, I'm third in total points on the entire league, but I have to say the league is being very exciting with so many 8-4 & 6-6. Let's see what happens in this crucial weekend for so many teams!

I've just checked my matchup and the projected score means I'll lose by 0.43 of a point. I mean talk about close. Well lads I have to say when Aaron Rodgers went down I did fear the worst for my season but Phillip rivers has done an amazing job. Well good luck lads and we'll see each other on the other side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,790 ✭✭✭Benimar

This is mad. It looks like 6 of the 7 teams who were 6-6 are going to win!

The only 6-6 team to lose is playing another 6-6 team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,012 ✭✭✭BizzyC

Dammit! Had I started any other RB combination I would have won, I've been really bad and picking the right pair all year, probably deserve to be in the consolation playoff for that alone!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

Think that's the no.1 overall spot secured.....barring a 22 point Tyler Kroft performance!

Can I just clarify how the playoffs work ? When I logged into the fantasy app it said I made the playoffs but I don't see my team name for next week in either the championship or consolation bracket. How many teams get into the playoffs ? I, slightly confused being honest.

    6 teams make the playoffs.
Thats the 4 division winners and best two runners up (Harrys Honey Badgers and Chimi Changas). Seeds 1 & 2 have the week off awaiting the winners of the wildcards.

After that, the next best six ranked teams go into the consolation round. The top 2, of those teams, like seeds 1 & 2 have the week off, as the next lowest 4 seeded teams play a wildcard round.

The lowest 4 seeds have the rest of the season off.
