I like the red pepper one, the tomato one is only ok.

He came down hard but fair.

    Like an inter-county GAA ref.

    Not.

    It's full of applesauceicity

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

She must get exhausted making all that relish.
Maybe we'd be helping by consuming less.

I think it's a bit too sweet myself.

Personally, I've always found it a bit salty. Their cranberry sauce is nice though - far better than any supermarket own-brands.

Many years ago my sister had an extreme allergic reaction to it. Which we later found out to have been an anaphylactic reaction. They were trying to find the exact cause so my mum rang the company to ask about their ingredients. They refused to tell her because it was a secret. I think they just listed spices but wouldn't say which spices. My sister could have died so my mum was not impressed with their attitude. It's been banned in our house ever since!

    Therefore I vote no.

But it is kinda nice (please don't tell my mammy).

    I love this:

Ballymaloe is ok, they do a nice pickled cucumber which you could probably make yourself quite easily.

There isn't much of a difference. Sweetness is the dominant flavour with both of them.

Jesus if I thought for a second this would happen I wouldn't have bothered

It's AH - you must have suspected it on some level!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Zig, out of Zig and Zag fame, wanted to put it on his chips at one stage

True. I've read a couple of posts looking for some obscure pedo-reference only to relaise that the poster was actually talking about the relish.

I had a quick search before and found the locked thread from 2012 that actually mentions yer man and what he did but I expected that things would have died down since then rather than going the other way. The actual incident happened way back in 2003. Nearly a full 15 years ago.

It's quite nice to be fair, but the paedo relish tag seems to be reasonably ubiquitous in relation to it. People don't forget these things even if sites like this have to lock threads in fear of legal action. The family seem a peculiar bunch, a little removed from the reality of Irish life (in my opinion anyway).

Hopefully I've gotten my point to across without warranting a ban.

I think it's a bit too sweet myself. Hopefully the impending sugar tax will change that. The so-called spicy version also isn't that spicy, as in I have to concentrate really hard to notice the spicyness in it.

What do you make of the stuff?

    No it's made by peados!
    Boycott that crap.

Nope, wouldn't knowingly give money to someone who has been convicted of possession of child abuse images or those who support them.

And they did move him out of the family home to a small cottage on the grounds.
    So that's all right.

As Darina said in a subsequent interview "A bit of a hoo-haa" over very little. (children).

I wouldn't even watch their cookery programmes on TV. The guy who does the "How to cook well" show is related as well.

    Tasteless.

    The thread not the relish.

I had a phase of liking it a few years ago but have no real reason to it now.
Just in my observation tough ever since the families incident it has become more and more popular!

The threads only get locked when the other theory about the incident gets brought up.

Like I suspect it may do soon, now that I've mentioned it.

The amount of bans and cards. I didn't realise Ballymaloe relish was such a touchy subject
