Mate of mine in work had such an issue. Was on a half day and in a mad panic to get out the door. Got a call that someone had wrecked a disabled toilet and it was overflowing, leaking into the CEO's area below.

He didn't have time for this sh*t, quite literally. With the client standing over him, he opened the adjacent cleaner's store, stuck his arm into a black refuse bag and dragon punched that turd into next week. Problem sorted. Client aghast.

He disposes of the bag and leaves the building via the canteen where he grabs himself a sandwich. He was last seen munching that down as he walked out the gate. There was no handwashing involved.

I had a similar dilemma when working in a student union bar. It was a blocked toilet in the lads and it was overflowing. Would never have been able to get anyone to fix it. So a black bag was also my solution. Turns out some bastard had dropped a pint glass down and taken a **** in it. Once I poured it out problem solved. It was probably awec.

I'd say that bloke grows a brand new beast of a moustache each and every night as he sleeps.

Anyone else have a hot water pipe blow off and absolutely drown them from head to toe at 7.30 a.m in work?

    No...just me then. FML.

No, but I once ordered a tea and they used semi-skimmed milk instead of the full fat stuff. A horrendous day.

Would you consider Mike Evans and Chris Carson instead?

It was at 9:30am too, an ungodly hour to be getting the wrong tea. Threw me off for the entire day, could barely function.

Sorry mfceiling, tell us more about your broken pipe.

I had the last laugh. The plumber who laughed solidly at me for 10 mins went in to take off a shower head. He was told all water was turned off after this mornings fiasco....except it wasn't and he got saturated....and he goes home at 3...on the bus...with no change of clothes.

    Karma is a cruel mistress.

    Recommended me a VPN

    Recommended me a VPN
I've used private Internet access for a couple of years and have no problems with it. It's really good value but I don't think it's considered one of the best. Here's a review https://restoreprivacy.com/private-internet-access-review/

I'm using vypr, it's pretty good but it's a fair bit more expensive than what b.gud mentioned ($6 something a year if paid annually).

Forgive my techy ignorance, but what are the advantages to using a VPN?

Lets you get around geoblocking, simple example is one will let you watch the BBC iPlayer from Ireland. I think there could be some privacy advantages too.

There could also be other things but I'm not sure.

Most commonly, it hides your location or routes you through elsewhere. This allows you to avail of certain services or products that are limited to geographic areas e.g. BBC Player which might be restricted to the UK or watch the USA version of Netflix which has more content than the version we get.

    Anyone tried PureVPN?

    .

Haven't tried in a while but I think Netflix restricts this now. I'm not sure if some VPN's can get around it but many of the standard ones certainly can't.

I think that I can recall after a bit of tinkering, par for the course on Linux, I was able to get PIA working

Do you need it for privacy or for locationy stuff?

Because for locationy stuff I just use an ssh tunnel which I find more reliable.

I think Netflix just block certain VPNs that they are aware of. My work VPN through my laptop works fine for example.

They block big ones who drive people to smaller, sometimes shadier, providers. They can't possibly stop every one of them but they also dont really want to, they only really need to be seen to be making an effort in order to keep up appearances with the people selling them the rights.

Don't use torrent sites. There are non torrent options available that are faster and more secure.

Who or what is this, does it cost money, is it easy to set up?
