Hard to know with him, to be honest!

James McCarthy with a richly deserved MOTM award. Had a superb second half.

It is to be fair but there were some very obvious words being suspiciously slurred and as the fella in the pub next to me said; "He looks like a lad wandering out of a particularly heavy wedding."

I'd trade it all for a Jets win. Actually, no....I wouldn't.

In other news: Tom Brady had more rushing yards yesterday than Zeke Elliott. :D

So I went and bought a new car.

2009 Audi s5 with a 4.2l v8.... sounds beaut but Jesus it's made a dent in me wallet.

I can no longer afford rent and have to move in with the missus, who has just realised she wears the trousers for the foreseeable future.

what dumb things y'all done and immediately questioned if it was a good idea?

What's the tax on that out of interest?

£286 for 6 months (I'm in UK) and 4 years of walking around garden centres carrying stuff

Ah you're in the UK. Was just thinking it would be eye-watering for an engine that size in Ireland.

It's 09 so would be on the emissions based scheme, but it would still be ~€2350 a year to tax.

Class motor!! Herself had an A5 (diesel - boring), but it was a lovely car to look at. Then she decided she needed a bigger car so she bought an A6 estate...this yoke is the mutts nutts though. Loaded with tech and lovely alloys. It's a diesel but has a fairly high bhp and goes like shìt off a shovel. Even has dynamic mode which is basically a speaker under the car to make it sound like a muscle car. Totally pointless and childish but sometimes it's great fun!!

Best of luck with the new motor though....that engine is just pure motor porn!!

Ooooh, Jake LaMotta passed away today... fantastic boxer, just unlucky to be around at the same time as Sugar Ray

OTB have a tribute piece coming up later. Generally, their old boxing pieces are excellent. Hopefully this lives up to it.

This whole Mark Sampson thing is an absolute disaster for the FA. The players too. I would be cringing at the ineptitude on display except its such a serious matter...

What wrong with the FA having a pervert in charge of a woman's footie team?
It's a bit of a step up from the BBC and their childrens TV kiddie fiddlers

Just finished two days of suicide intervention training. Two stats that I can't get out of my head. World wide there is a suicide every 40 seconds. Suicide kills more people every year than all the conflicts in the world combined.

Everything about it though. You have a 100+ cap player accuse him of racism. She gets paid off and continues to complain. Other players come out to back up her story... and the girls squad all turn their back and instead embrace Sampson after the goal last night! I'd say those girls feel pretty bad at the moment...

The story will come out soon enough ..but he should never have been in a position to be England manager

Well none of the players were at all aware of anything that happened at Bristol, so I think it'll just have come down to them not bothering to do proper due dilligence. But the absolute embarrassment of them having taken a bullet over allegations of racism all for nothing...

What is alleged to have happened at Bristol? I assume we can't talk about it and maybe Erik hints at it above.

I just wonder if the FA saw an opportunity to get rid of him and jumped at it.

Best not discuss it...but it will come to light tomorrow or the day after I'd say ...the main point is that the FA had a bit of the information to hand when they appointed him

I don't think its the FA just taking their opportunity. They had that opportunity a long time ago.

More and more players came out to support Aluko in the last few days, so I'd imagine they started digging and realised there had been previous enquiries, which Trevor Brooking should have done when they appointed him in the first place.

Anyone else have a hot water pipe blow off and absolutely drown them from head to toe at 7.30 a.m in work?

At least it wasn't cold! :D

I've had the top of a foul line stack blow off and cover a lad with sh*t. Fortunately I was watching from a few yards.

Plumbers make great money but there's a good reason lots won't get into that game! If I could do it all again, knowing what I now know, I think I'd have gone into plumbing, though.
