Have to tune it manually or do a scan and save it as a FTA favourite if your box allows that

Appears to just be eir 2 , maybe you are using a Uk box

I'm using an old out of subscription Grundig box. I tuned it in manually during the week on "Other channels". Up to yesterday 424 was giving me a "Channel not available" message.

Maybe tune it manually first and then try 424. I could be wrong but it's worth a try.

424 on sky is ice hockey on eir sport 2 ,strange how some have it on that channel

I have a skybox but just the fta channels.have no card in it so my bbc is bbc north I think and my itv is itv central.might have something to do with it.I know sfa about any of it so I may be wrong

People accessing FreeSports on 424 are using the Sky UK EPG.

One side-effect of the new channel is that if you subscribe to eirSport in ireland, you will be losing some events, particularly the Belgian football.

Its audience should rise in the Uk, but it will plummet in Ireland as it's being transferred off Premier, meaning it also is going off eirSport 2.

Unless of course it becomes eirSport 3 one day?

Yes, but remember that EirSport 2 and Premier Sports are the same channel - broadcasting on 424 in Ireland and 428 in the UK.

As eir/Premier/FreeSports obviously own slots 423 424 and 428, FreeSports could easily go on the Irish EPG as 428, though whether that would be flagged as FreeSports or EirSport 3 is another matter.

(EirSport and Premier/Setanta are now separate companies, but still have a close working relationship. This obviously may not always be the case.)

Just been looking for this myself, the only info is on the EGP which is good for about 10-12 hours. Presumably they'll get round to it sometime. There are 5 footie games this weekend.
