Well would you look at that - so it is! Presume it's also on TG4, but if this was advertised in Ireland, might get some people thinking about freesat.

Well then that is interesting. A GAA match which is being televised live, which is FTA on satellite TV only.

I presume Freesports is also on the Irish Sky epg? If these GAA matches start getting some exclusive airtime on Freesports, then this has the potential to be considered a 'Sky' channel, aka a channel surrounded by the misconception that you have to pay Sky lots of money every month to receive it (despite the name!).

Tg4 only ever show the Sunday games. Eir Sport show them on Saturday

They are games for which Eir Sport hold the rights in Ireland. Now, as an aside, Premier Sports can show all GAA League and Championship games aside from those on Sky - not just those Eir Sport are covering - so FreeSports could probably show the TG4 games too. I have a hunch they won’t though. Indeed Premier Sports is showing Kerry v Donegal on Sunday, but that won’t be on FreeSports.

A great weekend for GAA on free TV.
I always missed the games on a Saturday evening, hopefully Freesports keep this up.

It seems to be hurling this week, I wonder will they show the football next week

Somebody asked will this be every week.

"Hi, we are showing the first 2 live games. All other games will be shown on Premier sports live and FreeSports will be showing them repeated!"

yes by default if its in HD on sky it will be HD on FTA and Freesat - retune required

Freesports announced it on Twitter, when HD on Sky it should also be on Freesat

I would read that as subbed for HD and SD on FTA. Hopefully I'm wrong.

a516digital are saying that Sky and Freesat carry the same feed for freesports so the HD feed could well be on all platforms.

Just an update about FreeSports HD.

There is FreeSports EPG info available on a channel added with the SID label 6211.

Freq: 11876

Symbol Rate: 27500

Polarization: H

No picture or sound is there at the moment. Although I'm guessing that this channel will become FreeSports HD from July.

Keep your eyes on this channel in the meantime. Post us any updates once new data becomes available.

Odd, 6211 is the SID of Quest Red+1 on 12382H and also for a blank channel on 12344H.
I did not expect to see duplicate SIDs.

I see nothing on 11876H - yet.
