Being outraged that an American is exercising their right to protest, free speech, and all those other things that they pride as a foundation behind the stars and stripes is a bit much.

That said, when Kaepernick post things like this on his Twitter, you can see how it would alienate a large section of the US population. I doubt too many law enforcement people will be happy being labeled as slavers.

I think it is a bit late for nfl teams to start claiming they have moral standards with regards to who they employ.

This is why we have had his average ability downplayed to the realm of terrible qb when he isn't as is easily in the top 32 of qbs available.

Sure it is their right to protest a team hiring him but it is also my right to judge the living daylights out of them that this is where they make their stand out of all the off the field issues in the nfl.

I fully admit to being biased here btw. Kaepernick is the player who made me fall in love with the game.

Sad reality of the NFL these days. Double standard everywhere.

To be fair your posts don't come off as bias though and I would agree with a lot of what you are saying. He realistically should be in the NFL earning a decent wage and I don't agree that he is as terrible as a lot are making out. But I do also believe he hasn't helped himself and knowing what we all know on how stupid the NFL is with its double standards. He is entitled to his opinion and its freedom to have that opinion but he did piss of a lot of people and owners being as fickle as they are just don't want the headache which is ironic seen as some of them protect wife beaters and scumbags.

I really would like to see him take any contract if given and prove himself on the field because as you and others have said he is better than a lot of the QBs in the league right now being paid a solid wage.

For what it is worth I think Cutler is better than him but I like Jay so I am bias there :D

Bisciotti sought council from Ray Lewis as to whether he should allow the signing of Kaepernick. That tells you all you need to know about how the thinking (or, frankly, lack thereof) going on.

Now maybe I've missed the posts about it. Let's say a team does take a chance on Kaep, has he been working out and when was the last time he threw a football ? I mean that's the big question. The other stuff is irrelevant if he is rusty and can't come in and do a job.

Tbh, I would assume there is a lot more chance that Kap, a player who is actively looking for a job in the NFL, has been keeping in shape and training alone than there was Cutler, a retired player with little desire to play even when active and who only came back because the Dolphins offered him stupid money, was.

Please excuse my grammar, working atm.

Despite the people complaining about gamepass I'm watching the suspension of Ezekiel Elliot in perfect crystal clear on a big tv and as an eagles fan I'm loving gamepass for all it's faults.

Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys was notified today by the NFL that he will be suspended without pay for the team's first six 2017 regular-season games for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

Over the course of the last year, the league conducted an extensive investigation. League investigators interviewed more than a dozen witnesses, including Ms. Tiffany Thompson, who had alleged multiple instances of physical violence in July 2016, and Mr. Elliott. The league also consulted with medical experts. League investigators examined all available evidence, including photographic and digital evidence, thousands of text messages and other records of electronic communications.

Pursuant to the Personal Conduct Policy, Commissioner Goodell sought the views of four external advisors (see below) to assist him in evaluating potential violations. These experts range in experience from law enforcement, judicial and public service, and other specialized subject areas.

The advisors participated in a meeting on June 26, 2017 in New York City with Elliott, who was represented by his legal team and the NFL Players Association. The group also reviewed the league's investigative reports and materials, the expert medical reports, and multiple NFL Players Association submissions on Elliott's behalf.

In a letter to Elliott advising him of the decision, Todd Jones, the NFL's Special Counsel for Conduct, said these advisors "were of the view that there is substantial and persuasive evidence supporting a finding that [Elliott] engaged in physical violence against Ms. Thompson on multiple occasions during the week of July 16, 2016."

After reviewing the record, and having considered the views of the independent advisors, the commissioner determined that the credible evidence established that Elliott engaged in conduct that violated NFL policy.

Elliott may appeal this decision within three days. If he does not appeal, Elliott's suspension will begin September 2, the day of final roster reductions for NFL teams. He is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games. Elliott will be eligible to return to the team's active roster on Monday, October 23 following the Cowboys' Sunday, October 22 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

MEMBERS OF THE EXTERNAL EXPERT ADVISORY PANEL

PETER HARVEY, Esq., former Attorney General for the State of New Jersey.

KEN HOUSTON, member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, who played in 14 seasons in the NFL.

TONYA LOVELACE, MA, Chief Executive Officer of The Women of Color Network, Inc.

MARY JO WHITE, Esq., former United States attorney and former Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Sammy Watkins has been traded by the bills to the LA Rams. So Sammy is going from northern New York State to the bright lights of Los Angeles.

The Bills have acquired CB E.J. Gaines and a 2018 2nd round pick from the Rams for WR Sammy Watkins and a 2018 6th round pick.

Pretty much dumping a mistake that cost them 2x 1st round picks when Odell Beckham, Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon Cooks, and many other better WRs were still on the board.

    @RapSheet

The #Bills aren’t done. They also traded for WR Jordan Matthews & a third rounder for CB Ronald Darby.

Doesnt look like that to me. Sammy Watkins was good but not great, a mistake from the GM they fired in the off season. They were not picking up his option so hes a FA at the end of the season. Pats gave up a 1st for Cooks whos better and has 2 years on his contract left. Good business to get a second for him.

:( Jordan Matthews wasn't that bad though.

The watkins trade to me is the new GM saying he's the chief in charge of the town now.

    @RapSheet

With the trades, the #Bills have: 2 2018 first rounders, 2 2018 second rounders, 2 2018 third rounders. … That’s not a bad way to build.

Ya I'm gona miss Jordan. In fairness you would hope the likes of Jeffery, smith, hollins, agholor would be able to keep receiver ticking over we needed a corner badly

Anyone who watched more of the bills wanna tell me what we got in Darby

I thought he was one of the top corners coming out of college and when he slipped to the 2nd round I was really hoping the Jets would snag him. From what I've seen of him with the Bills was impressive and he pretty much been a starter sense he got there. And he's only 23, himself and Jones(when he's fit) could make quite the duo

Watkins is really good when he's on the field IMO. If he could keep healthy (I know, I know) that would be a nice pickup for the Rams.

Cheers. It'll be next year before jones is right I'd say but if we can get a solid set of corners that's a serious defence
