This is a recommendations thread people, nobody likes Jurassic World

I would recommend people watch it and make up their own minds. And coincidentally it was just added today.

2nd series of Hinterland was added today, or very recently anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 963 ✭✭✭James74

I have a craving for some average-to-poor "science gone mad" monster movie fayre. Perhaps featuring dinosaurs or some such. Recommendation would be appreciated.

You're in luck. Billy and the Cloneasaurus was added today.

I was stuck for something to watch over the last few days so I gave Flaked with Will Arnett a second shot after watching half an episode when it was first released.

And oddly enough I took to it straight away and after a couple episodes I started to really like it. I ended up binge watching both seasons.

The second season is more comedic than the first due to characters like Cooler and George being used a lot more.

Overall a decent show I thought.

Didn't realise the 2nd Series was out. Enjoyed the first

Jurassic world is almost so bad it's good, but not quite. As a result, I could never recommend it.

On the other hand, that documentary Joshua is fantastic. What a story, 14 year old taking on China!

Confirm what? Given the thread, I'm assuming something was added to Netflix today. Can you tell me what?

The documentary "How to run away from dinosaurs while wearing stilettos" was added today.

This went over my head at first. :o Genuinely thought it was a BBC type documentary on Dinosaur physiology with a catchy/click baity title.

You're in luck. Billy and the Cloneasaurus was added today.

Billy and the Cloneasauras is the original and best in the series. What was added today was Billy in Cloneasaur Land.

This whole thread today reminds me of the "and how much are you charging for this free weekend?" episode of The Simpsons.

It was one of the biggests tv shows in the world in the 80's.

It's about an Angel who was stripped of his wings and and travels the highways of America doing good to get them back.

Everbody was moulded from cheddar, the buildings were made from Wensleydale and the highway itself was sculpted from Edam.

That was the Littlest Hobo, which is what the Angel's companion, Mark Gordon, was reincarnated as.

Felt OA was good and interesting at least.
The ending of the season was very weak though and unsatisfactory.

BBC Drama Marchella is very good, 8 episodes about a detectives fight to find a serial killer. Stars Anna Friel.

7 episodes in and I think its done very well.

Might be just on the USA library though.

Rewatched Blade II, had pretty much forgotten ever seeing it but coincidentally my wife put on this thing called Shadowhunters afterwards. Based on the first scene involving vampires, in a club no less, I guess the creators of this had also just watched Blade, the design of the vampires and the effects when they're killed is identical. And they have swords too.
