(Still won't let me quote replies yet, grrr!)

It gives me the "We ESTIMATE around the first half of 2017" yoke, I've been taking their estimations with a grain of salt for the past couple of years to be honest, so! However with that map update, my house is marked for it in blue which compared to houses on the main road just a minute across the way are all green. So it seems they are inching their way towards us but not quick enough it seems! On the map all sides of my road are marked green except our road which everyone of my neighbors have that blue marker 😥

    Might be worth checking :

    https://www.eir.ie/broadband/1000mb-fibre/

The eircode checker tells me 2nd half of the year but on eir.ie it says I can get it now. Am in online chat and start of July is the date its available

Has fiber been run down the road on which you live and are there splice boxes on the poles ??

If you want to send me you exact location (or even the road) either here or in PM I can have a look.

If you have been waiting for Openeir better check the change in dates this morning. Lots of cans being kicked down the road!!!!!!
    EirCon.....I never doubted you.

According to the site over 50k of the 300k are now live - that's not far off?

We are still first half of 2017. Given that activity seems to be underway, I think I they are serious about it and will come close (for us).
Broadband is not currently available at your address. However your address is on open eir’s rural fibre rollout programme offering speeds of between 30Mb/s and 1000Mb/s. We estimate fibre broadband will be live in your area during the first half of 2017.

The more I look at the green houses along the coast and drop the google man in there are some incredibly remote places that are now on the FTTH network, I think it will be hard to get them all done by end 2018 though.....

Yeah, sorry I was just selfishly thinking of myself there :)

    Any exchanges being bumped up?
If it's mainly exchanges getting pushed back then it would indicate they're not gonna be able to complete on schedule.
As garroff was saying nothing unexpected really.

When I put my Eircode into the address checker it says speeds of up to 100 Mbps are available. I live 6.3 km from the exchange or 4.3km in a straight line. Surely that's wrong? I am on the 300k rural roll-out but that's estimated for 2018.

Are you connected to a cabinet or the exchange? if it's a cabinet it could be correct, however if you're down for the 300k - normally you're too far from either to avail of VDSL. So could be a mistake.

nice map update. All the home in my area have green homes and mine is the only home in the entire area with a blue planned home, with the Eircode error carrying over to new map.

Not sure. It's the Brittas exchange. On the map it shows a cabinet right beside the exchange. I have a phone line but it's not active.

    Yup, slippin'! Now states;

It was badly worded so good they have corrected it now. "By the second half" I think always meant in the last 6 months of the year. They had a "By the first half" too.

it seem a bit buggy they probably try fix it with a few updates. It a shame they couldn't use a map like NBP map which is the best map and easy to use.

I see pallasgreen number of houses with ftth has gone from 250 to 210. Process is so very slow. Exchange live for 5 weeks now and about 25% passed. Still telling me I will be done by end of June but that's not looking likely so I expect the map will be updated in a few weeks with delays. No-one working down this side of the village.

the map seems alot slower than the old map!, wouldn't like to be using it on a slow computer.

No. I think that means they're going to take it away from you.

I notice the limerick exchanges seem to be all delayed - whereas Galway seemed to go fairly much according to plans - I've been keeping an eye on both counties to get an idea how this project is progressing. Clarina was one of the exchanges that went live in spring 2017 and yet it's still not complete. I see Annacotty slipped from summer to autumn 2017 and I haven't seen any sign of work in this area. Also I never saw any weekend work taking place in Limerick whereas when passing through Galway I noticed there was a lot of weekend activity. The inch st lawrence seems to be a massive exchange area which also got delayed. Not sure what's going on in Limerick?

Tells me I can get it but had someone out to install it a few days ago and said it isn't live yet. House is marked in green too.

I get "Great News, Fibre broadband at speeds of between 30Mb/s and 1000Mb/s is available at your address. You can order from the list of service providers here."

But I actually cant get it so wouldn't rely on this website at all

There is plenty of work going on in Limerick. In my exchange area they should be finishing off a road and starting the next. They should be doing my road this week. Along with the Crossagalla area which is nearly fully wired we are still on the new map arrangement for Summer/Autumn 17. I am pretty sure that our houses will be green well before Autumn comes in. It seems that crews are only working Monday to Friday around here.

There needs to be a lot more if targets are to be achieved. Clarina is down for 475 they've only passed 310 so far - this was one of the exchanges for spring 2017 - now they've changed the wording to first half 2017, wonder will it move again? Progress seems very slow - as I expected - this is not a 24 month task.
There has already been a lot of slippages and unless you keep track of them it 's very hard to know the rate of progress - the website doesn't help in this regard.

The eircode checker still telling me 'by the second half 2017', but today for the first time when I went into eir.ie it tells me:

Great News! Fibre to the Home is available at *****

Can it actually be true????   Is it best to order online folks.   Am very tempted to get the 1000mbs package.  65 per month seems pretty good value, and you get BoxNation free with it and i'm paying 15 a month for that as it is so that would take bill down to 50 a month for the FTTH

I would order online using the online chat. This way you can email yourself the transcript at the very end of the chat in order to keep Eir honest about exactly what was said when ordering.

I certainly don't care how many sign up, but when it passes here next year I will be signing up for it.
