Controlled explosion to be carried out on a second suspect device.

This could have been much, much worse.

A lot of one post wonders about.

I'd say more like a single one post wonder who keeps venting about banning all Muslims from Europe, keeps seeing them deleted, and keeps re regging.

Unfortunately that's also the world we live in these days - people trying to be the source of the next "viral" craze.. even for atrocities like this :(

There's no place for Islamic extremists in civilised society. It's about time people stopped bending over backwards to accommodate those who show nothing but contempt for society, be they "natives" or immigrants. I know it's a small minority but it's significant enough. They're the first group to get up in arms about their rights not being met etc and it's seen as unpc to say anything at all negative. That needs to stop. They need to conform to the society they live in or go somewhere they feel more comfortable.

I dont think anyone objects to extremists been jailed or turfed out.

And did they warn people to avoid a&e through twitter 25 years ago. Get a grip.
This is a tragedy, and not a time for finger pointing until we know who is behind it.

Think you're a bit mixed up here. Another poster said this had IRA written all over it, I pointed out this was nothing like an IRA attack. No fingers pointed.

Not to try one up one over the other but the bataclan and this gig were 2 different type of crowds and while neither attack makes sence in paris the crowd was of a higher age demographic compared to tonight...

    These are kids simple as.

Probably legitimised as targets due to how they are preceived to be dressed and their choice of music...
    :(

Good. I hope that's one thing right and left can agree on, rather than excuses being made for them.

The Muslim leaders will have to step up and really start doing something.
In saying that, there's very little can be done about lone wolf attacks

Sorry to mention the IRA yet again, no suggestion what so ever that they did this, that's pure nonsense.

However expecting Muslin leaders to do something is akin to expecting the Parish Priest in Listowel to know when the next IRA attack was going to be or the Local Vicar in Banbridge to know what the UFV were at. Yes sure some of the knew but these lads are so far out on the fringes it's like trying to compare a KKK rally to a village fete.

The vast majority of Muslim groups in the UK are simply community centres, very mild mannered and totally appalled by what's gone on tonight no doubt. It's important to realise all religions have their fringe elements and 99.9999999% of people are just like you and I.

no im pretty sure they want people who are involved in terrorism, crime, false documents etc etc deported, nothing to do with race or religion.

the EU needs emergency terrorism legislation brought in immediately to stop this, its the only way now.

the EU and each individual EU members have anti-terror legislation

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

:( this is just awful, it reflects however on the depravity of whoever the perpetrators are, targeting a comcert full to the brim of teens and kids, cowardly is not even close to the word

Remember how long it took to get rid of Abu Hamza?

Whatever people think of Brexit, dumping extremists out of the country certainly wont have as much nonsense red-tape.

Mod-Ladies and gentlemen. Please don't reply to the one post wonders. This is a really fast moving thread and it's hard to keep up. Your reports are greatly appreciated. When we remove their posts we remove any post that quotes them and it puts gaps in the genuine conversation going on here.

    Thank you

Awful awful news, RIP. Getting sick of these Twitter links, how about some coherent reporting from the BBC.

An easy target... kids will grow into adults influenced by what they witnessed tonight. Hatred breeds hatred, that's what feeds the fire.

RIP to the victims in Manchester tonight. Whatever this is, it's too much.

According to Manchester Arena, the incident happened out the front of the venue just after the concert.

The joy those concert-goers would have been feeling as they exited the venue, many of them kids maybe attending they're first ever concert, to be then faced with that nightmare.

    I just can't understand it.

Good. I hope that's one thing right and left can agree on, rather than excuses being made for them.

I was merely pointing something out. I think extremists of all colours and creeds are nasty pieces of work.

Yeh but im pretty sure they cant deport british citizens?

Extremists are usually radicalized in the country and not the poor ****ers risking life and limb in a dinghy to cross the mediteranean.

That's a very high percentage. It suggests that 1 in a billion aren't good people. I think you may be pretty damn wrong there.
