It's fundamentally a political act, Islamist extremist style, it's just business. It's main aim is to sow divisions & engender hatred of the Muslim community, which will then make them more susceptible to Islamist ideology, thus legitimising & growing the Islamists cause.

I'd consider the timing this close to the UK elections too. Much more likely to push people towards the right-wing which will like you say, will lead toward the very moderate Islam communities becoming more and more marginalised.

Hopefully the nailbomb suggestions aren't true. That has IRA written all over it.

Are you ****ing joking? You think the IRA did this? Honestly?

    People need to be careful.

Are some on here really condoning barring and deporting people from a country based on the colour of their skin or religion?

    Who said that?

Something......something has to be done to stop this...None of this nonsense sending #Hashtags and Solidarity crap....action has to be taken or else this will keep continuing on and on and on and on.....

R.I.P to the 19 dead, so sad :(

Zero tolerance policy from police from now on. Even something as minor like sharing a jihad post on facebook or posting something on twitter should result in arrest or deportation. Also feel that muslim communities are not doing enough to combat extremism and teach their youth how to integrate into european societies

It would though. A mass bombing in a crowded area with no warning? What have the IRA attempted on this scale in 25 years?

Have you been in a coma for the last 20 years?

Are you really suggesting this was a Russian terrorist?

I genuinely can't believe this is happening again. Whether an attack or an accident its sick, my heart goes out to all those who died, their loved ones, those who are injured and all the children who will be forever scarred because of what they witnessed..

Eh what? That has to be the most outlandish speculation I've read tonight.

If indeed it is confirmed as a terrorist attack, it's more likely to be a (UK) native nutjob who sees himself affiliated with ISIS.

Maybe death and injuries from crowd crush?

Omagh. Except there was a warning and they sent them back toward the bomb. Not exactly reliable sokid citizens

Yeah bar the few thousand in 9/11.

Question: since 9/11 who has been responsible for more deaths in the United States, right-wing extremists or Islamic terrorists?

Sky reporting it went off outside the arena in a public place, so they didnt pass security.

no im pretty sure they want people who are involved in terrorism, crime, false documents etc etc deported, nothing to do with race or religion.

the EU needs emergency terrorism legislation brought in immediately to stop this, its the only way now.

The Muslim leaders will have to step up and really start doing something.
In saying that, there's very little can be done about lone wolf attacks

Still one isolated incident though. By the way, NY is one of the most diverse cities that every exists and if you ever read up on the history of NY you would know that the very reason it is the place that it is, is because of multiculturalism.

Right so there was a warning to avoid causalities. And this happened 25 years ago. From a group no longer active.

    Id fully agree with this.

An earlier poster suggested removing islam from europe.
