Can anyone help me? How do I attach a number of photos/screenshots to a ASAI complaint? Last time I could only do one. Want to make a complaint and have a lot of screen shots! Pm me maybe instead of going off topic thanks!

You can probably just put them all together in one zip file.

If you don't know what zip is, PM me, or ask in Computers forum.

Thanks Biko! Wouldn't have a clue how to do that!! I put them into a collage instead 😂 Il have to teach myself the zip file one of the days!! Thanks again!

I've screenshotted Grace once again promoting Meaghers without #ad, will be sending it on to ASAI, think this is will be my second time reporting her to them!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

She HAS to have some sort of agreement with them, even if it's just that they give her free stuff every now and then...how is that not an #ad?
Its not the same thing as getting sent PR post, she clearly only promotes Meaghers and never mentions other pharmacy brands.

What are your guys thoughts on someone promoting something on Snapchat but not putting #ad on all the snaps just some? Ok or still wrong!? I reported someone for this and now think maybe it was a bit hasty of me Cos they still did out the #ad but just didn't do it properally! Like it does just take a second to do, your getting I would imagine good money so do it! Yes, no? (Hope this is still on topic, delete if it's not sorry!)

Just wondering if anyone else noticed Sinéad's Curvy Style promoting Alexandra Dental and the braces she got. No mention of ad or sponsored yet heavily promoting them? They are worth a lot of money

Did she not pay for them herself?

If she did she is giving promoting them very very heavily. Seems a bit much to be doing that for free before she even knew if they would work or not. Has done since the very beginning. She never said whether she paid for them or not.

Holly Carpenter had a disastrous attempt at promoting there recently. After harping on about something on snapchat she actually said "and this is hashtag ad". She also wrote Meaghers on the snap and said this is the pharmacy but I can't pronounce it. LOL

Meaghers should really make sure that they people they're working with can as much as pronounce their name! It was pretty clear Holly had never even set foot inside there

Yeah that's true. She's one of my favourites and if she isn't as straight as I thought that would be disappointing.

Technically not sponsored but I'm guessing they'll be collaborating together in the future.
Rosie has the naked flushed palette plus a mini of the setting spray in her goodie bags this weekend.
Probably the most impressive items I've seen in a goodie bag. She seems to be steaming ahead of some of the longer more established bloggers. Aluxe is only a thousand or so follows below enchant and its set up what 6 weeks?

I find it very difficult to believe that Pippa picked out a Penneys blazer to wear last minute on the Late Late without being paid to do so. She's worn Penneys every time she's been on. They make plenty of money from her so she deserves to be paid, but she's proven to be very inconsistent in her #ad; the worst of all the bloggers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 370 ✭✭heyjude88

Yeah I agree. Pippa is the worst. What annoys me is that she seems so sincere in what she's saying about loving the products etc, but no sign of her being paid. She has shown off a good few items from that Dundrum store "SELECTED" recently as its near the pop up store, but no sign of ad. She has a post on her website that states "This is a sponsored post" at the bottom. But the links on her social media facebook account don't mention that its sponsored, so unless you click and scroll to the bottom you wouldn't know. My own mother loves Pippa and has her on facebook but wouldn't have a clue about it being all one big ad!

The website post seems like one big rushed #ad. She (her team) literally took pictures of the clothes in a rush. They are creased to bits and theres peoples arms in the pictures holding up the clothes. Very unprofessional. But i'm sure she's getting huge money for it. Just not her usual standard.

I see Graces scrounging on snapchat "oh i really want one...i must buy it" for that sleep thing worked and she was gifted one from Bella Baby.
She then proceeds to announce its not an ad as she doesn't have to talk about it..but proceedsto snap it and put up the prices...

Yes because Bella Baby sent it to you without any expectation that you would talk about it. Of course Grace...

    Its SO dishonest

Grace really is the worst for not #ad anything and she honestly believes she is transparent then! I have reported her over the currys tv fiasco and received correspondence back to confirm the complaint was lodged.
Dunno why I follow her anymore, she's not a blogger anymore is she? The constant baby snaps and snaps to say she is about to go for a shower or clean the bathroom are a joke!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,060 ✭✭✭✭biko

Potatocup, stick to #ad and leave your personal feelings about how Grace is otherwise doing on your facebook feed.

Should anyone attending the FitBit thing this morning not be tagging it as #ad?

They may not have been paid but they've gotten a free FitBit, have advertised the prices and are clearly advertising them now. Unlike say, a fashion launch where they might get a free goody bag or something, a FitBit is something you have to sign up to and maintain so surely they are expected to mention their progress?

I thought the ASAI required bloggers to #ad even if not paid in cash but if there is an agreement between a blogger and a company for advertising and payment in goods?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 856 ✭✭✭idunno78

There is but who is to say there was an agreement. I'm sure with plenty of stuff they show there is an agreement but they don't 'officially' have one so get away with it!! Not saying with everything but I'm sure a lot of things!! Didn't see the Fitbit snaps tho!
Just jordan had a lots of stuff up with Note cosmetics and no #ad! I assume she is getting paid for the classes she is doing. She was so honest about the baby thing last week tho so I don't get why she hasn't this done to!

Grace and Rosemary were both at it, I don't follow a huge amount of bloggers so there may have been more. Rosemary to her credit is usually good at #ad but Grace isn't which is why I'm a bit suss...

Rosemary used to tag her affiliate links but I noticed she isn't lately on Facebook at least. You can tell they are affiliate when you click on them as the URL will flash up reward style for a second

Has grace still not learned to be honest I stopped following her it was to frustrating to watch her not follow one guideline and get away with it ..surely after reports to the asai something would have been done by now

She said on snapchat the other day that since she has starting declaring they were affiliate links, she isn't making as much money anymore. She thinks that people just don't click through if they know its affiliate. That's probably why she stopped.

I'm genuinely shocked at the image award winners. Like 99% of the items that won are the same items that we are being shown every day by bloggers. I see Meaghers pharmacy is heavenly involved in the awards and even have a section on their website dedicated to the winners, where you can buy them all.

Pippa was a judge and she shows off most the winning brands on snapchat every few days and has perviously #ad Rimmel lipsticks and even has business ties to blank canvas.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a big farce, just like the gossies???

Rosemary did have up that she was doing an experiment to see did people click when it wasn't #affiliate. It was just a comment in one of her posts! Her snaps were the only ones I saw from the Fitbit thing and I'd say it was just a press day so wouldn't require #ad. She always does it so don't see why she wouldn't of that was!

Curious, isnt she the very one who is always giving out that people dont #ad? Bit weird of her to be doing this if it's such a pet peeve of hers.

I don't follow Rosemary anymore really but I have to say so many of these bloggers say one thing one day and then take it back the next you wouldn't know whether you're coming or going. They could be giving out about something on Twitter one minute and then doing that exact thing the next day it's baffling. Some very principled bloggers out there and that's great but Jesus at least stick to them!

Anyway to respond to heyjude above yes I noticed that too! Very suss about the Image award winners. Pippa was given a shed load of products to choose from and she picked her pal Aimee's palette. The whole thing is a farce IMO

Until there's a definite set of rules that are being enforced, bloggers can pick and choose really when they use the right hashtags or not

She isn't required to use the hashtag and she's making less money by using it. If I were her I wouldn't continue using it either.
The blog she wrote a few months ago detailed exactly how much money she had made from it.

So sue me once said in a magazine interview that the money she made from reward style was just pocket money not a huge amount. With ten times the amount of followers on Facebook than Rosemary, try calculate that figure.

Also why would the fitbit event need to be declared an ad? Unless they paid people to snap about it its not an ad. Free fitbit doesn't equal payment. The press drops of makeup sent out and goodie bags at some amounts are likely to be worth the same amount.
