I've seen countless sites say the Pro controller is much better. IGN(Jose), GoNintendo(RMC), The Verge, Kotaku, etc. I was only reading a review from Kotaku this morning and it jumped out at me. I read a lot so maybe ye don't see it or hear it.

Here's what The Verge wrote while I try to find what Kotaku said.

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is the best way to play Zelda: Breath of the Wild

    http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/2/24/14699044/nintendo-switch-pro-controller-hands-on-preview

    http://kotaku.com/nintendo-switch-the-kotaku-review-1792776350

That's just one paragraph and they said plenty more besides. Numerous other sites and articles have said this but I can't remember the exact places and articles.

I'm not disputing that it's great. Everything I've heard has said it's a really good controller, just not that it's essential, which would imply that the joycons that come with it aren't acceptable or usable. I thought the Pro controller for Wii U was a good bit better than the tablet controller too, but it still wasn't essential.
I actually thought that was a really good figure for it.

I thought 80k sounded alright too, considering the Wii moved 105k and that was selling like gangbusters. I remember it being incredibly difficult to get one of those opening weekend and there were a lot more shops selling them back then. Also still a big improvement on the Wii U sales. I think we need to temper expectations with this that it just isn't going to sell like the PS4 or the 3DS, but that doesn't mean it won't still be a decent enough success rather than another flop like the Wii U was.
It does not need to be 250 euros at all.

From my use of it once there is more games for it. 330 euros is quite a bargain might i add. I paid the same for a Vita back in 2012 if that gives you a idea.

I'd disagree. I mean, yeah, I and many others will still pay €330 for it, but it's not going to really crack the mainstream at that price. Bear in mind the fate of the Vita when comparing them. This thing will need to drop down to €250 or less fairly soon (maybe sometime in 2018) if it hopes to get some serious penetration. If the Switch is targeting gamers, it'll do so as a supplementary console. I think few will be willing to completely forego the larger catalogues on PS4/XBO/PC for it. So it just can't really be selling at the same price as those imo.

Listened to the very short slot. It didn't come across as great.

Let me guess Chris and Sarah making a couple of mario jokes and laughing about adults playing games should get a life?

That show and entire station has gone to the dogs

Had to factory reset my switch and somehow it still thinks zelda is installed after the reset. Claiming I have only 10.3gb of space(with nothing actually installed) so I can't even re-download the game from the store.

Listen here about 3/5 through the show.

Don't think anyone was running out the door to buy one after that segment. It wasn't very well done.

I've had no issues whatsoever with my left joycon and my Switch is possibly situated in the perfect storm beside four different devices using wifi and a huge aquarium. I have to say if be very upset if I was having problems though.

First time playing 2 player properly in Snipperclips tonight and haven't laughed so much playing a game in a long time.

Absolutely brilliant and so far delighted with Zelda and Snipperclips!

    Why was the reset needed?

Can't wait to give Snipperclips a shot.might wait and get the joycon with the game code though. Ditto Zelda. Incredible game so far.
Also loving the fact we're gonna end up with a load of Neo Geo titles as well.

Anyone else hating the voice acting in Zelda?

It's a bunch of american actors doing what they imagine are English accents. Absolutely awful. Zelda sounds like Pip from South Park.

No option to change to Japanese vocals.

But if you change the Switch system settings to Japanese you suddenly get Japanese vocals but all the text is also in Japanese. So everything is already on the cart. How hard could it be for them to patch in a language select option?

Utter blight on what is otherwise a pretty much perfect game.

WiFi performance was awful, I was getting half the speed of my other devices while being 1 foot from the modem. So I was factory resetting it to return it to gamestop.

Thought I'd see after a reset if I missed any Internet settings and noticed I only had 10gb of space without a game installed.

Is it able to connect to 5ghz wifi? It didn't seem to see my 5ghz network when I was setting it up. Does it need to be set to find it?

    That Newstalk segment was wretched.
"I have a WiiU gathering dust, no games came on it though I did get Mario Kart 8, don't judge me" was the effort from one alleged tech guru on there who was about as knowledgeable about videogames as my Uncle Ed, whose last arcade game was a one armed bandit on a ferry to Holyhead.

Here's my dream list for the Switch

    Bayonetta 3
    Super Metroid 2
    Resident Evil 2 Remake
    Killer 8
    Viewtiful Joe 3
    Madworld 2
Or some other mad Sudo51 game

It was absolutely awful, I had a feeling they wouldn't be knowledgeable but I was hoping for some positivity and excitement. Terrible stuff!

I'll be interested to see how well Blaster Master Zero does. Could see Nintendo looking at more cost effective returns to their classic franchises on the Switch.

Blaster Master Zero does look genuinely great.

Any of the Neo Geo games in the store worth a purchase? Never played any of them.

Probably gave you a good view of how the Switch is seen outside of gaming circles.

Pulstar and Blazing Star would be great to have, though I can play them on my cab via Retropie as it is.

In my dreams I'd love to see the Raiden series ported to it... though is not likely to happen...

Yeah, but Newstalk have yet to run a positive gaming piece, during the years of my listening to the station.
They've had plenty of articles but they descend into stupid ill informed comments every time.

I think we all have licked the Zelda cartridge at this stage. I can imagine the retro gamer 20 years from now asking does it have the tongue print from the original owner

Oh you jam-bag, plenty of hours gaming in there. Metal Slug's fantastic, Waku Waku 7 is mental (getting its first European release as an afterthought as well) and King of Fighters 1998 is still an A+ entry. Only one I've not gotten into is Shock Troopers, as I find the controls a bit finicky, but yeah, just loads and loads of gaming goodness in there.

"2. Fri-Sat sales for Nintendo Switch exceeded first 2-day sales in Americas for any system in Nintendo history. Next biggest was Wii."

"3. This is particularly notable given that Switch launched in March, rather than holidays"

"4. Zelda for Nintendo Switch the best selling standalone launch title (i.e. not a bundled game a la Wii Sports) in Nintendo history..."

"5. ...beating Super Mario for N64"

"6. Long term comparisons to Wii, which sold more than 100 m LTD, are tough. But good start for Switch, with big games coming."

4hrs into Zelda and not even a sniff of those
shrines the Old Man sent me to find.

Forgot how easily frustrating Zelda games can.

Nope I can't find anything. I can see Shrines way way off in the distance in inaccessible areas but nothing in the Great Plateau.

Christ I can't be using guides in whats pretty much the tutorial area.
