Has there ever been an instance whereby all four contestants lose to the chaser before the final chase? What happens in that instance, does everyone get to go home early or..?

One person comes back to play for the team, can't remember if it's player one by default or the team nominate someone. They play for 4k I think.

    ^ The team nominate somebody.

Wow, I would hate to be in that scenario. It's a choice of feeling like an assh*le for playing yourself up to be the best candidate or feeling foolish for letting someone else win your money instead.

They win a grand for each team member as far as I remember. Hasn't happened in a while.

There's usually one blindingly obvious character in the team who's nominated!

It's also why the last player, if the other three have been already knocked out, should ALWAYS go for the high offer - they have almost literally nothing to lose!

There was a guy nominated in the last week or two to play for the team and he was one of the worst players I ever saw.

I suspect everyone on this thread watches the ITV episodes, but I watch the be3 ones (because I can record them) - hasn't happened on that channel in a good while.

Related to that - when did the two channels diverge in what they showed? I'm almost sure than when be3 was UTV Ireland, they used to show the same episodes as ITV, or am I imagining that? (Like I say, I never see the ITV ones)

Great big win for the team today on be3against the Beast!

Oh that makes way more sense! I thought it was a case of winner takes all.

I think it was a week after be3 launched; then be3 reverted to about halfway through Series 9, while TV3's 1pm episodes from the start of Series 9.

All I know is that Be3 is currently showing episodes from September 2015 - the Vixen has just joined. :);)

Team getting wiped out on ITV today, not the sharpest tools in the box, but some of the questions have been quite tricky.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Chasers throwing games has taken the shine off this show.

Sean wasn't trying too hard. He took a long time to answer some fairly handy questions.

Think that was for drama more than like he appeared to do the other day, and actually throw it.

Grace is Grace Petrie, a left wing protest singer, quite good if you prefer the meaning over the sound. A female Billy Bragg

An Irish contestant on be3's Chase this evening :D

Some target set for the beast today. He didn't have a hope.

He went damn close. If he hadn't slipped up a few times he'd have been home and hosed.

Probably an old one for many but that Chase at 6pm on Be3 wasa cracker! The older lady was great! They could easily have hit 25 with a bit of luck and a couple of the pushback misses were close guesses also.

I think beating the chaser means so much more than the money for most contestants! We need a new Chaser though!

What kind of irks me about this show is that in the final chase the chaser has a huge advantage because he doesn't have to deal with a 0.4 second buzzer after every question. It also causes a lot of confusion among team members when both press it and they end up being the wrong one answering or wasting a precious second or two looking at each other before saying something.

In most cases I'd nearly fancy the smartest person on each team + push backs going solo against the chaser. Better odds than 1 in 4 anyway.

That's the whole point of the game... Team strategy etc. .

We need a new Chaser though!

I disagree. After all, it hasn't yet been two years since the Vixen joined... :o;)
