Just watched a great charity edition where the contestants, Dominic and Todd won. Great to see it.

As fixed as f  k. Beast missing ridiculously handy questions like dead ball line and Mama Mia etc. And then immediately going "oh, yeah" or putting his hand on his head after he passes!

I bloody hate the Celebrity Chase. It is a farce, questions much easier, Chasers trying their best to lose without it seeming obvious. Vast amount of times these celebrity geniouses win!! . Every time I watch it I want to throw a shoe at the the tv! I don't know why I do it to myself!!

Also watch their body language when answering the questions, deliberately slowing down their answers in the first minute or so. Then towards the end they start answering more hastily and accurately to create the tension, doing enough just to lose for the drama!
Case in point, The Governess in this edition!

I also hate when they get a pushback and the crowd goes wild!!

    Bah Humbug!

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :D:D:D

I hate when the crowd groans when a contestant on the celebrity version gets an "easy" question wrong, just annoys the head of me, I can deal with everything else on the celebrity version except that

Also the chaser is stopping the celebrities winning money for charity, its not really a game suitable for that

It just doesn't work as a show, the celebrity version.

I'd love if the Chasers just up and rebelled and won every game in the Celebrity version as it must be a tad frustrating for them pretending to miss perfectly answerable questions but the Celebrity versions are huge ratings winners so I say they know full well that they have to do what they are told!

I agree. Who wants to be a Millionaire is a better format for a charity gig.

Maybe so - but there were too many celeb editions in its later years.

Chris preferred the civilian editions, too. ;)

WHAT have they done to the chaser's hair on today's celeb episode?

Probably about five cans of hairspray I'd guess!

Just watched Friday's be3 show.... the team got done!!!

There was a question for the chaser in the final chase to which the answer was The Freemasons - chaser first said The Masons, then corrected himself to say The Freemasons.

What ever happened to "I have to take your first answer"?

He won with 1 second to go.

I'd be livid if I was on that team!

well in fairness the first answer could well have been accepted. I have seen him accept more questionable answers before. Though I did not see the actual question.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry
Members of these organisations are known as Freemasons or Masons.

Bradley's joke about the Queen on a postage stamp...ouch. :(

For you Bradley, the chase...is over.

Another dubious failure by a chaser on ITV. Paul Sinha got beat needing 14, got some quite straightforward questions wrong, quite slowly (although he's never the fastest chaser).

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

The one on Be3 there. If she had just hitthe right button, they'd have beaten the Chaser. Chap did so well on his own.

I would also say that in the celebrity episodes, they seem to have questions prepared that suit the contestants like asking a pop singer questions about pop music and so on.

The Australian version is farcical for rigged losses.

It doesn't hold a candle to the British one in general mind you. The questions are comically easy at times, and the host is awful.

Saw Barry from Eggheads on it a while back, he went out on 64K.

I have yet to watch a full episode. It grates on the nerves somewhat.

I switched over to Pointless instead of enduring it.

You make that sound like a bad thing :O :(

    'Babushka' is beyond painful!
