What kind of irks me about this show is that in the final chase the chaser has a huge advantage because he doesn't have to deal with a 0.4 second buzzer after every question. It also causes a lot of confusion among team members when both press it and they end up being the wrong one answering or wasting a precious second or two looking at each other before saying something.

In most cases I'd nearly fancy the smartest person on each team + push backs going solo against the chaser. Better odds than 1 in 4 anyway.

When only one team member makes it to the Final Chase - or the team nominates a member after all four of them have lost their individual chases - they don't have to deal with the buzzer either.

    Just sayin'. :o:);)

"You get a four-step head start on the Chaser... that's a massive advantage, make that pay."

Sometimes they do... and sometimes they don't. ;)

Statistics show that 2 people compared to a solo player is definitely significant in both number of correct answers given and number of pushbacks right. 3 players is still a small jump in the percentages, while 4 is pretty minimal.

You also only get an extra 2, maybe 3 questions playing solo as you do when a team on the buzzer.

Seat number 4 was very impressive. The other two not so much.

They all contributed in the last round, but Bonny was very good.

I get that statistics might indicate that a final round of four is statistically better, if only marginally, but I always got the impression that you were better off with three rather than four on the basis of the increased levels of hesitation that there sometimes seems to be when there are four players - occasionally they seem to pause just a fraction of a second longer before they pass in case one of the other team members answers the question.

Not only that, but if the improvement is only marginal, then the pecuniary loss in splitting the winnings four ways rather than three means you're prolly better off, in my opinion, having three in the final.

I have, half jokingly, asked my other half to organise for me to get on to auditions for my fortieth birthday. He says that you need to be a UK resident, so I just said to him -'make it happen - you have relatives over there' :)

Ooooh!! Good luck. Let us know if he can swing it!!

It's the bally ballyness of it that makes it all seem so bally bally.

Was that Ace Ventura that took the low offer?

The Sinah Man had a horror today.

He used to be my second least favourite Chaser after "The Vixen" (ahem......) but he is probably my second favourite now after The Beast. Although they all are my favourite in their own ways!
I find that The Sinha Man is the most competitive (and arguably most all round intelligent) out of them all. Really hates losing!

Yeah haha and she was only playing for a grand. She would have been better off getting knocked out and leaving someone with a brain take on the final chase but no she had to go for the lower offer. Delighted for her.

Fupp sake, she took minus offer with only 9,300 in the bank, and the lad before took the low offer, spineless team taking Darragh's money.

If I were Darragh I'd let these Muppets crash and burn in the final chase. It'd be worth losing the money for the glory of seeing these slugs lose.
