    Thats happening already.
    I was talking to a couple who send their kids to a Gaelscoil and the reason they said they did was "because they were much less coloureds / blacks there. " Just saying.

    Well, your friend is a racist. And an old timey one at that. Just saying.

    The vast majority of school gives preference to baptised children and have done since the foundation of the state so you can sleep easy.

    How did they actually say it?

    Was it like this: "coloureds slash blacks", or maybe "coloureds forward slash blacks" or did they do a gesture of a slash mark between words?

    I did not say it was a friend. I said it was a couple I was talking to. And if they are racist or not is beside the point. I pointed out the reality of what is happening. They do not want a load of immigrants ( some of whom may not even speak English) in their young kids class.

    You can't blame them maryishere, who wants to stand at the school gates beside women dressed in black tents with a slit cut in the material for their eyes.

    Its happening in inner city Dublin and in parts of West Dublin.I want my children to go to school with children of people I am comfortable with and I am not comfortable with men who refuse to shake my hand.If there is an influx of non nationals into an area the white irish will move their children to Gaelscoils, this is the main reason for the growth in Gaelscoils in Dublin.

    You are better to avoid single sex secondary schools too if you don't want large numbers of muslims in the school.The muslims in some secondary schools are causing huge issues with school uniforms, they aren't just happy with the hi jab thing, they also want the girls to cover the neck area up completely so they wear extra clothes on top of the school shirts.They get away with this of course because its culturally sensitive, everyone else gets notes home if the uniform isn't correct.

    A school in Nutgrove Dublin renamed it self Jesus Mary and something because of the amount of Muslims attending who were complaining about the Cross on the wall, I go to their countries and I have to dress they way they want and yet they come here and object to our crosses.

    I would say they just said too many non nationals if they said anything at all.Most people are afraid to open their mouths in case they get a lecture from looney left types, thats how Brexit and Donald Trump happened.

    Whats racial stereotyping Flint Fredstones, its another meaningless lefty type saying, what does it even mean.

    I would have no problem being treated by a muslim doctor but not one observing that Ramadan nonsense.Imagine if they keeled over with starvation in the middle of your operation.

    A few generations ago, who would have thought that half of Leeds / Bradford would be muslim? Or that there would be more muslims in France than there are human beings living on the Island of Ireland.

    :pac::pac::pac::pac: The irony, all of the Irish catholics that left in the 40s/50s/60s to go to your beloved UK, not using contraception, so higher birth rates, how has that worked out, huge Irish ghettos are there? English children pushed out of their schools?

Not sure if you or they are aware, but there are about half a billion Christians from Africa, where black people in Ireland tend to come from, and who would be given preference in the vast majority of schools across the country over Muslim (or any non-Christian) kids, be they from Africa, the middle east, the Balkans (white Muslims are a thing, after all!) or elsewhere. So you can rest easy about that, and with the peace of mind that the person you were speaking to is a racist interested in their skin colour as opposed to religion.
    You do not think thats sectarian / wrong?
    What I think about it isn't relevant to the fact that it how it is and how it has been since the formation of the state with little sign of change. I find this question strange given you don't think someone clearly being a racist isn't relevant to their perception that 'coloreds' = non Christian.

    That was Mary63, not me. in post 241. Get your facts right. I pointed out I was talking to a couple who sent their kids to a Gaelscoil because they said they did not want - in their words or words to that effect - too many coloureds or blacks in their kids classes. Fact.

    Will we ever find out what was in the 2 backpacks the lad was carrying or will it be left to fake news organisations to speculate on and increase the hate? They said it was not explosives but didn't say it wasn't guns.

    1) Would they have, and why would they have, less stress will impress in an election year would it not?
    2) Most likely education wasn't the highest level with this gob****e going in to a heavy policed area even with a gun/guns he wasn't going to last longer than a handful or minutes with heavily armed soldiers.

    You singled out Mary63's sentence in her post about Muslims "swarming the local schools" to say "it's already happening" - yes, you were saying with the that Muslims are already swarming the local schools. You can try claiming you didn't all you want, but it's right there.
