Great, can't wait for several hours of Carry On style gay innuendos 5 days a week....

So having been a disaster on 2fm, Today Fm reckon he'll be their saviour. Insane. How many comedians is that on Today Fm s books now, whelan, delamere and porter. Crazy.

Never seen his comedy but I'll give it a chance before making any judgement.

Its no longer Today FM its Man FM - not a female presenter in sight unless you're up at 6am or listening to radio after 7pm.

Such a clusterf**k, I thought Neil Delamere would be bad but Al Porter?

I stopped listening to 2fm when he and Colm Hayes teamed up

Disappointing to see the station go so downhill

Never thought of him...thought Al was gonna get a slot on 2FM but looks like TodayFM got him...I dunno, I am gonna give him a chance. The guy is a hard worker and comes across as someone who can diverse into different areas of entertaining.

You have to feel for credible DJs who make a career being radio DJs just to be overlooked for quasi-celebrities who management will hope will be a quick fix to a long term problem.

After I read the announcement here, The Libertines - Cant Stand Me Now came on my Spotify.

    Sums it up!

I'd have been happy for them to leave Muireann in the slot, I like her. Having heard Als old show on 2FM with Colm Hayes I'm expecting a train wreck unless he's doing a complete change up in his show.

Yeah big time, very very unfair on djs who have been grafting away for years. To be a presenter now you have to be a celebrity.
