I have the Orzly V2 and find it grand. If you take your time and apply it right, you might get a slight bubble but after a day or two it's fine. The Spigen Rugged armour is a nice case, and it's thin too. Also have the Orly Grip pro, and find it a bit bulky so stuck on the OH's. Both great cases tho!

Seemed to have an issue earlier on multiple calls that the sounds was COMPLETELY off what it should be.

The volume coming through on my 3T was perfect.

Rang the gf on her mobile, she rang me and then I rang the landline and on all 3 calls the back ground sound was incredibly loud and she couldn't hear a word i was saying because the background sound was drowning me out...not such a bad thing for her...i suppose.
She said she could hear someone about 15 m away from me quietly whistling to himself above what I was saying. I dont know if it was a noise cancelling glitch. Any ideas?

Wee issue myself, my 4G signal keeps dropping even when i'm in the same place. Is this common, it's not a big deal but just I'm wondering if this normal as my previous phone Moto G didn't have 4G so I've nothing to base it on.

Will we get a notification about this or do we have to do something to get it?

I used a VPN and got it immediately.

Use a VPN like Opera VPN or VPN by Snap, then check for updates

Any idea where I could buy a case for this phone in Dublin? Did a search of the thread but no joy. Phone is due to be delivered tomorrow and the Spigen case I ordered wont be here until mid next week and don't trust myself using it without one.

Can someone explain why we need to use a VPN to get updates? Will they be released globally eventually (and if so how long does it take) or do One Plus just release it for specific regions?

It is eventually released globally, usually a couple of weeks after the initial release.

Why unfortunately. I have the OP3 and well happy with it.

I'm guessing the "suckers" statement was meant as a joke, hence the :pac: and it just got taken out of context.

    Hi,

I just got the 3T yesterday and the battery is creaming itself.80% at 7.30 this morning to 28% at 10.20 and I've barely used it!

I'm not tech savvy so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to what it may be. The battery is saying

    Media 28%
    Media Server 15%
    Android 15%

Very disappointed as was so looking forward to this phone

The Goon, have you updated to 4.X? Media and Media Server aren't even on my battery stats so I'm guessing one of the apps you've transferred over isn't playing nicely with the 3T. Since it's new I'd probably factory reset then run all the updates, then transfer over your stuff.

Not an expert though, that's just what I'd do.

When I got the 3T, bettery usage was very high first couple of days. After that it settled down and no such issue then.

    Thanks guys.

RitchieNouveau, I just updated it this morning so hopefully that will make a difference. If not, I think I will try a factory reset this evening and then give it the weekend to see if it improves at all like Coldfire said.

Mine was terrible when I got it first. I did a factory reset and skipped all the prompts from Google to sign in to my account. When the install was complete I downloaded the apps I wanted one by one and it's been perfect since. No sign of this great update yet.

I was joking and wasn't serious. Im happy enough with the OP3, would've preferred to get the OP3t though....no biggie

Hi guys. Just to follow up,updating the phone made the world of a difference.!I mean wow! Haven't charged it since 1 and still have 66℅ battery. Also its not overly hot. Thanks for all the suggestions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 598 ✭✭✭RIchieNouveau

Good stuff! Glad to hear you can enjoy your purchase now. My phone has only ever gone past warm once, when the FB app went wonky and was constantly running and draining battery. If you're dash charging it should always stay coolish.

I got the update OTA today on my 3T for Android 7/Oxygen 4.0.2. Didn't go looking for it, it just started downloaded when I got home earlier (I guess because it detected wifi).

    Don't notice any difference yet.
