The McGregor deniers will be on any minute now to somehow turn that Aldo statement on Conor,

Aldo looked gun shy against Edgar complete masterclass and great game planning in fairness that straight right hand was money Edgars team planned for his leg kicks and jabs from the first fight and got whooped (another Mark Henry failure).

I doubt mcgregor haters could twist this

Maybe. But they're more delusional as aldo.

Forgetting the 13 sec ko for a moment, ask yourself how Aldo would fare against Diaz and Alvarez .....different weights perhaps but McGregor's not the first featherweight to move up a weight so why not Aldo......he's talking about beating a man who not only beat both but had both on their arses more times than they've ever been in 1 fight .....I really don't believe he'd fare favorably against either tbh .......so now back to that 13 second knockout

diaz he hasnt a hope the size difference would be a joke...could maybe beat alvarez if he fights like he did against frankie..at 5'7'' with a 70'' reach hes just too small to be competitive at 155

Aldo could kick Nates leg into oblivion for 5 rounds and keep moving imo to win.

As Gambred said he might have a chance against Diaz if he could land leg kicks but Diaz would overwhelm him with punches at range and utilize his huge reach advantage. Against Eddie it's tough to call because while he has shown great TDD at Featherweight it'd be much harder at Lightweight but if he could keep it standing he'd have a great shot too.

I will say this much for Aldo, his leg kicks could seriously damage McGregor, who as we saw showed some vulnerability to them vs Siver and a little against Alvarez, early on.

Vulnerability in what way? (Against Siver and Eddie).

Siver caught his standing leg and he slipped. I'd consider that to be pretty standard tbh. Catch anyones leg right and they slip.
There's a huge difference between that and destroy somebody legs to the point where they can't stand up imo

Nate could easily land in volume at range that could finish Aldo or outstrike him I think. We don't really know how Aldo's chin would hold up at LW. It's actually an intriguing match up the more I think about it.

Aldo would shred the **** out of Diaz lead leg until he couldn't stand any more, or at least debilitate him and keep moving and striking his way to a decision or a TKO.

A little too much is taken out of him getting KO'd by McGregor so fast, without a fight or anything else to go off, all you remember is the punch. Obviously. He is still a superb martial artist and his striking, his movement, TDD and his BJJ ensure he will be competitive against pretty much anybody he gets into the cage with, he isn't going to be going up against WW's ever.

155 is a more natural weight for him, but he doesn't struggle as much as Conor to make 145, I think he comes up to 155 to fight Conor and probably nobody else. He is angling for the money fight again, he knows it isn't going to happen at 145 more then likely, so in his mind, he defends his 145 belt, Conor returns and defends his 155, if both come through they can have a big money fight toward the end of next year.

Can't blame him for playing the game, especially when he was so roundly criticised for not playing the game all his career up to this point, when his stuff gets translated to English things get lost and he is clearly not as comfortable as the likes of McGregor at the smack talk part of the business but a toddler can work out what he is doing.

Nate has the range to beat Aldo, probably by decision.

There is a big size difference between RDA and Aldo. RDA can barely make LW without passing out, is at least 2 inches taller and much thicker set.

You really think Aldo would finish Diaz? A man who has finished anyone in 4 years would TKO a guy who is insanely hard to finish or Lightweights or Featherweights? Not likely.

Conor really did a job on poor Jose.

He will be having nightmares and screaming conors name on his deathbed.

Funny how people are so easily wound up by him.

also cannot remember the last time I saw, aldo spark someone clean without them bouncing back up, his power is in his legs and his dynamism (ability to swarm on you). He was described as the greatest fighter for two rounds, I think that's accurate. His mystique slipped when he moved to UFC, I just never saw it. He's a good fighter who stylistically had just enough to beat a few satellite fighters constantly flying round. until he didn't!!! Boom! legend over and he was found out. as some said, he did look gun shy with frankie indeed and as McGregor often says, he's not the same fighter.

He'd be beaten by Diaz I think, in fact I doubt he'd ever take such a fight, he loves his comfort zone too much. didnt hear much of him tweeting after McGregor dismembered Eddie!!

Aldo would take Diaz's leg clean off in the first round

the same was said with certainty about him and McGregor. I'd take that bet no problem if it happened, Diaz would beat em.

I disagree. I think he'd be eating combinations from Diaz if he got into that range. I also think Nate could hurt him in the clinch. We'll probably never know though.

I agree, and I think one bout of dirty boxing with a man who'd be huge on the night, game over indeed. I think you'd even see a very quick fight to be fair, his mind would break. dominating a midget like frankie is worlds apart from a diaz bout..

I meant there's some potential there. If Siver and Alvarez had some limited success, perhaps the king of leg kicks might fare better.

I agree totally and also on that 13 seconds "Lucky punch"

something that also gets on my wick, some lad mentioned this Aldo lucky punch from McGregor in my job this week.

eddie came forward and with the exact same punch, was put on his arse, McGregor even managed to hit him twice with the same blow for good measure.

Lets all agree to put this myth to bed... that approach seems to be a quick night for anyone who storms in, aldo tried it and woke up minutes later, eddie tried and was dropped, and dropped, and dropped and dropped and dropped!!

Its unlikely but yeah, he could get a TKO due to Diaz not being able to stand. More likely is obviously for him to shred the leg, as we have seen done to him in the past and outpoint him.

I don't think he would knock Diaz out in case you are thinking that, thats why I said a TKO- due to Diaz being unable to continue, which given the warrior Diaz is would be some feat, but not unimaginable the way he refuses to alter from leaning so heavily on that lead leg.
