A little too much is taken out of him getting KO'd by McGregor so fast, without a fight or anything else to go off, all you remember is the punch. Obviously. He is still a superb martial artist and his striking, his movement, TDD and his BJJ ensure he will be competitive against pretty much anybody he gets into the cage with, he isn't going to be going up against WW's ever. 155 is a more natural weight for him, but he doesn't struggle as much as Conor to make 145, I think he comes up to 155 to fight Conor and probably nobody else. He is angling for the money fight again, he knows it isn't going to happen at 145 more then likely, so in his mind, he defends his 145 belt, Conor returns and defends his 155, if both come through they can have a big money fight toward the end of next year. Can't blame him for playing the game, especially when he was so roundly criticised for not playing the game all his career up to this point, when his stuff gets translated to English things get lost and he is clearly not as comfortable as the likes of McGregor at the smack talk part of the business but a toddler can work out what he is doing.

Saipanne wrote: » Aldo is obviously a legend of MMA. But, I think McGregor wins a rematch because: - McGregor is clearly lodged firmly in Aldo's mind. Big factor. - McGregor is huge compared to Aldo. Another big factor. - McGregor has become a significantly better fighter since their last fight. This is huge. McGregor grew through his wars with Diaz. During that time, Aldo ground out a decision win against Edgar. It was nothing spectacular. He is arguably in decline over the last few years, when compared to his vicious WEC form. My 2c...

"I knew that would happen," said Aldo, who lost to McGregor in 13 seconds at UFC 194. "To me, I never stopped being champion. I lost that fight because of an accident. I knew that I would win a rematch, that I would be champion again. It’s not my fault that he’s such a pu--y he was never the champion. I don’t see myself losing to anyone in this division or any other (division)."
