Yeah beating Kilmury and Loughmore with ease says they're a plenty good side. Will be favourites and hard to beat but think it should be a good game, hopefully third time lucky for the Nire.

It's a great time for Waterford clubs at the moment. Ballyduff Lower,Lismore and the Nire all reaching Munster club finals and Ballygunner not to far away from making it aswell. Hopefully all 3 can be crowned Munster champions but all 3 will have a big battle on their hands to do so.

Crokes playing in their own home ground were unconvincing against Loughmore

Crokes are a very average side. The Gooch is no longer the player he was. Lacks the speed and sharpness that he once had. The Nire will beat them. Conor Gleeson is a brilliant dual player. He will destroy the Crokes defense.
Crokes have a strong pedigree in Kerry and Munster over the past few years. Your writing them off on the basis that Gooch isn't the player he was. What other players do you know about? They managed to win the Kerry county championship (probably stronger than Munster club champship) and find themselves in a Munster final, so they can't be that bad.
People need to relax about Gleeson. One good performance and all of a sudden he's single-handedly going to destroy dr. crokes. He'll be a marked man now and will be lucky to get a sniff in the final. Thankfully the Nire have some other good forwards and wont be overly-dependent on him . I would give Nire a great chance but Crokes will still be favourites. Don't be fooled just because they haven't overly impressed in the Munster champship they'll still take beating

I wonder would the nire beat the Waterford senior football team (minus the nire players of course)

What an ill informed post:rolleyes:. They had 3 county players on their bench yesterday who played U21 for Kerry this year or last FFS. Nire are a very capable team but it will be a huge upset if they were to beat Crokes. Carberry were new to this and Nire would have had more experience than them in this competition. I heard the Nire only stopped celebrating wednesday which makes their win all the more impressive.

It is not at all ill informed! Crokes are over rated. We will see who is right in the Munster Final.

    Who posted that?

Nobody!. You are taking liberties with my original post. I posted as follows:
.......Conor Gleeson is a brilliant dual player. He will destroy the Crokes defense.......
You introduced the word singlehandedly to misrepresent the substance of the FULL post which was as follows:
Crokes are a very average side. The Gooch is no longer the player he was. Lacks the speed and sharpness that he once had. The Nire will beat them. Conor Gleeson is a brilliant dual player. He will destroy the Crokes defense.

Ah sure there are hardly any hurlers in the west of the county. That is an East Waterford selection with a token representation from the West. A joke!

Considering all the players picked played in the semi finals and there was only one team from the West who got there I'd say it's fair

Fair enough team. To say that crokes are a lesser team is true but crokes could spring a few of their Kerry minors and their whole team could change

Heard today 45 players have been called up for training on the hurling panel . Obviously no official training allowed yet . Some young players who weren't involved in the under 21 team this year too.

A couple of this years minors maybe? We had some nice minors this year, we beat Tipp who won the All Ireland, and ran Limerick close, who got to the AI final. So we weren't too far away.

Only a few weeks to go til the new season starts

Group Gym work is allowed this time of year. The Wexford hurlers are using the new gym out in WIT

They are training though. Does this mean no expenses for mileage? Is there anyone dropped?

Yes, Martin O Neill and Stephen Roche have been called from Mount Sion. Billy Nolan and Charlie Chester from Roanmore. Ian Kenny from BG too. Not sure if the big lad from Ferrybank you're referring to is MJ Furlong? But he's there too.
As regards anyone being dropped, I haven't heard. Shane O Sullivan was training last week so looking like he's still gonna be there. Stephen Daniels is back also.
